Envision's latest 32-inch LCD HDTVs handle ATSC, Clear QAM
Envision's latest duo of LCD HDTVs aren't apt floor anyone with cutting edge extras, but they do manage to pack enough features to satisfy a large chunk of those scouting a new 32-incher. Up first is the L32W661, which features a 1,366 x 768 resolution, 1,200:1 contrast ratio, eight-millisecond response time, 500 cd/m2 brightness, 178-degree viewing angles and an integrated NTSC / ATSC tuner that supports Clear QAM. Furthermore, the set boasts built-in 16-watt speakers, two HDMI sockets, a pair of component / S-Video / composite jacks and a S/PDIF audio output. For those only needing a single HDMI port, the L32W698 (shown after the break) is available for the same price, but it sports a debatably sexier frame.

Screw the TV. I WANT THAT CAR!
The screens look 'shopped on. Oh, and yes, what IS that car.
Re: TV - how much?
Re: Car - looks like a consept vehicle from Citron (you can barely make out the Citron name on the licence plate).
"aren't apt floor anyone with cutting edge extras,"
apartment floor?
apt for?
either way thank god for good old American literacy! A real magazine, newspaper editor would have had you throttled for that.
apt to floor?
Apt is used as in 'likely'. The text should have read "... aren't apt to floor anyone ..."
Translation:
The specs aren't likely to cause anyone to fall to the floor (i.e. pass out) with their grandeur.
But what's the price???
They say stuff like this "For those only needing a single HDMI port, the L32W698 (shown after the break) is available for the same price"
...like they know the price, yet I see no price...
The 32inch Envision is a great TV. I picked two of these up from Staples.com a few months ago. They had it $300 off, from $799 to $499. It's a great TV for the money. It's no Bravia, or Aquos, but for $500 I couldn't ask for more. Only thing I would have liked more was DVI input, instead of VGA. But at this point I'm just nitpicking.
I just bought a 32in. Emmerson for my room, only one hdmi, no dvi, but it's a great picture i think for the money, it was 528 and i got a 3 year warranty all together for 635 from wal-mart. It displays in 720p and has a 1000:1 contrast ration, i don't know the refresh times. OH well my ps3 picture looks amazing on it.
