Nintendo's Wii Fit December 1st for $75 (in Japan)
Wii Fit, out in December. Great news huh? Thing is, the ¥8,800 (about $75) Wii Fit is only announced for Japan so far. The kit features the Wii Balance Board which enables gamers to interactively head soccer balls and ski jump while partaking in other activities like yoga and aerobics typically thought to be cigarette-free. But you're at home moms, so feel free to sneak a few while pulling into a Downward-Facing Dog, we won't tell.

I cannot imagine level of carnage this new Nintendo hardware will unleash upon living rooms of America given the nun-chuck's death toll.
I'm surprised they haven't announced a US launch date. Wonder if it's a production issue. Shoot, they have enough money now to build a couple of production facilities.
The US is going to eat this up....expect the Wii to crush everyone else.
It's not hardcore, ala PS3 or 360, it's just fun.
is that suppose to mirror the kid? I mean, the kid wants to head to HIS left but the TV's showing right
may be he has the board inverted :P
They had to do this or the majority of people won't "get it". Yea, it's technically wrong.
It's like writing AMBULANCE reversed so it looks right in the back mirrors.
Just backs up the argument that 'americans' are pig-sh1t-thick.
The Japs already have one of the worlds highest life expectancies. Send it to the US.
Downward facing dog... lolz
tested the board while I was at GC '07 (Leipzig) - great gadget, works very well!
Looks lot like the Amiga Joyboard..

Engadget has subliminal cigarette advertising!
The mental picture of a soccer mom in a downward facing dog position excites me!
I'd sooner flush my money down the toilet, before buying a device that better facilitates excersize, without ACTUALLY GOING OUTSIDE LIKE A NORMAL PERSON.
/end rant/
Reminds me of the Nintendo Running Pad for World Track Meet! Where's the rabbit? :)
If Wiimotes caused damage from people throwing them accidentally, just imagine what'll be possible when you introduce a balance board and a mat. I can almost hear the attorney's phones ringing now.
Did anyone else find it strange that it's only offered in japan but the family in the ad is Caucasian? Very odd...
Not really. A good deal, if not most, japanese anime characters are portrayed as caucasian, which in turn reflects on how he japanese people view themselves.
Lazerface, don't be an ignoramus. Who do you think buys the most Japanime? That's right--white people.
This parody sums up my feelings on the Wii Fit.
