iPod touch now running Mail, Google Maps, and more

A look back on popular stories from today in a specific year.

Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
What does it mean when they say "after the break"? I have seen that on a LOT of engadget articles and can't figure out what they mean. I don't see any break, nor do I see any continuation of the article.
When you're reading an article on the homepage, they only go for a certain length. Go to www.engadget.com, and scroll down 'til you find this article. You'll see that the image of the map doesn't show up unless you click a link to read the full article. That's what they mean when they say "after the break" or "after the jump". It's a way of ensuring that the articles don't get overly long on the front page. But, if you're connecting to the articles directly from an RSS feed, then yeah, it won't seem to make a whole bunch of sense.
My blackberry connects with my Audi via BTooth... it sucks that my iPT can't. I can't believe I still need to plug a device in (read sarcasm in there... but really... we shouldn't need to plug anything in... with the exception of power needs)
APPLE... BTOOTH THAT TOUCH!
So how do you get Mail on the iPod touch-I've Jailbroken it-install the installer app. Downloaded the community packages-yet I still cannot figure out how to get Mail and Google Maps for that matter- any help would be great. t.t

Greatwork about the Jailbreak but I am not sure about how stable it is so I am not going to try it yet. I going to wait in the meantime I be using my ipod and iTouch for more music, movies and games on it from http://www.ipodtunesdownloads.com
So when is someone gonna make a skype app for the itouch. That would be awesomeness.

when can we expect to see apps available for the iPod Touch like Google Maps, iChat possibly, notes, other widgets, etc.
Bryan I'm not sure if they (Apple) are going to release those apps themselves or if 3rd parties are making them now- or if we will have to figure out clever ways to get iTouch to work with them. This has proved annoyingly difficult on my end.
dudes, where do i find this "Mail App" becuase i've been going through the sources and haven't seen anything with the MAIL feature on it or even the MAPS.
Can some one please tell me which package to install. Thnx.
If you jackup the jailbreak, you can restore, you will be writing the 1.1.1 software back to it. There is no bluetooth. The boys over at ifixit.com have had the Touch apart, there is no bluetooth chipset. Repeat, there is no bluetooth chipset in the Touch, let it go. About the toc2rta jailbreak. It does not seem to work well on PPC macs, even though stated stable. Works very well on Intel macs. Make sure your USB is 2.0, it is a requirement for ipod touch, even though will sync on slower USB.. The only reason I wanted was for the calendar editing
ok so I jailbreaked it and have installer.app but I can't seem to find a mail or map app for the touch. Any suggestions?
When I jailbreak my iPod Touch will I still be able to update it in the future? If I can't update it, then how can I update it when I have the jailbreak?
So when I update this I won't have to jailbreak it right ?
Hey, can someone please help me?!
I bought the Ipod Touch about 3-4 weeks ago, and i love it!
What is really annoying is, the internet works at college, with the Wifi, but i have wireless at home, i put in the password to connect it, and it has connected and has the tick beside our network, but it just won't let me open any internet pages, 'safari cannot find server.' Everytime! Can someone please tell me what i can do? + can i download games onto my ipod touch yet? instead of bookmarking it for when i go on the net? Thanks!
Speaking of other mp3 players that are better than the iPod Touch...
