PS3 model CECHH01 lands at the FCC

Well, it looks like that CECHG01 model PlayStation 3 wasn't the only one that the FCC got to spend a bit of time with recently, with the hereto unheard of CECHH01 model now also finding its way into a couple of more recent filings with the commission. While we can't say for sure what's what, that model number is certainly more than a tad similar to the recently revealed 40GB CECHH00 model announced for Japan, which would seem to suggest that this one can't be all that different. Additionally, from what little info we could glean online (see link below), it appears that this particular model packs a "new board" and, most likely, two USB ports instead of the usual four. More on this as we get it.

If you really want expensive, designer couch levels, buy a cheap couch level, dip it in gold. It might not be cheaper than a PS3, but you'll get a better ROI.

As of this current information the rumor that are going around, the U.S.A. date is post to be November 2, 2007 well the Japan date is November 11, 2007, since it is allready available for All Europe, middle east,Austriala and New Zealand!!

The old Sony never went away. If you actually owned a PS3 you would realise this.

What HAS changed, is there is now an army of brainwashed Dirtbox360 owners, sitting on blogs/forums/news sites, pissed that their own console sucks so badly, when they had hoped it was going to win this time around, so pissed they have to post their lies and twisted half truths in every avenue they can find.

Sir, you are mistaken. I own a PS3. And I do love it. But I love it because it is the 60 GB with the Emotion Engine intact.

Sony has changed. Sony has succumbed to the temptation to play Microsoft's dirty games. They're releasing multiple SKU's to help reduce price instead of making one good system which incorporates the best features, like they've done in the past. They're playing the "more power is better" game, and along the way they've lost a bit of what made them great. Raw power isn't the only thing that matters. And in this whole thing with Microsoft, they've lost sight of that. They've gone from focusing on making a good system to making a powerful one.

My guess would be the ceramic white PS3 that is going to be released in Japan. Either that, or it could just be the same 40 GB only the one that is going to be released uses up some of their extra components that are usable from other models while the 01 uses different components that are cheaper to make than the existing ones for when they run out of the older components.

The model number in the article needs to be fixed from HG01 to HH01.

Ok, seriously. The whole my console is bigger than yours thing needs to stop. They are both great consoles. One just has better games at the moment because it has been out longer. Give the PS3 more time. It took a while for the PS2 to get good games too. And if I remember correctly, the launch titles weren't great for the 360, either.

Truth be told, if the 360 had the HD-DVD drive IN the system instead of selling an addon as an after thought, I would have bought a 360. I wanted HD and a game system out of the box. Bring on the MS fanboys who want me to know that a 360 + the HD-DVD drive is cheaper than a PS3--blah, blah, blah! Does the 360 have any Square games coming to it? No? How about Disney movies in HD? Oh dear, now we are 0 for 2...

Xbox Live accually has quite a few Disney movies in HD for its download service. as for a hd-dvd add on the currwent console is cheaper; unless the Hd-dvd player or the console recieve a $100 price drop its not.


Maybe this set includes the Rumble-axis controller?
