TomTom ONE XL-S on the horizon?

Take it for whatever it's worth, but word on the street has TomTom coming out with yet another flavor of its highly-regarded ONE. According to GPSReview, the TomTom ONE XL-S should be hitting any time, but it's likely to disappoint those hoping for big changes. Apparently, the "only difference between the ONE XL and the ONE XL-S is that the XL-S will come with text-to-speech," and it should also come pre-loaded with NavCore version 7 with MapShare. Price wise, it's said that the XL-S will run around $50 higher than the non-S iteration.

If you want text to speech, buy one of the 'proper' Tomtom's. The last thing the consumer needs is more confusion.

The 'ONE' is supposed to be, funnily enough, one simple device. The easy-to-use, does everything the novice could want it to unit.

Actually TomTom One devices DO NOT have "text-to-speech", the instructions they give are actually OGG files, but they're extremely small, a voice package is only about 600k on a 1GB storage unit (6 units of 1,024,000 units for you non tech guys).

That would be great, if we could upgrade to XL-S from XL with just some software. I just bought the XL recently.

I recently bought a tomtom one xl-s which has text to speech capability. TTS only works with computer voices. There is not enough memory to load a second computer voice (CV). I have tried replacing the current CV file with another tomtom voice. I can't get any voice to work when I install it with tomtoms software. First I deleted the current TTS files and then installed the new TTS file. Everything looks as though it should work. Is there a file somewhere I need to delete or add to make it work?
