Keepin' it real fake, part XC: the Sony Ericsson W810i has a little friend
We were actually quite fond of our Sony Ericsson W810i until we teetered over the smartphone brink, so this classy little PMP from Shenzhen Smart brings back some fond memories. Nothing you haven't seen in a million Chinese knockoff "MP4" players before, apart from somewhat decent codec support: 2-inch screen, up to 2GB of flash, ebook reader, photo support, FM radio, USB mass storage compatibility, and MOV and AVI support in addition to MP3 and various flavors of Window Media. Oh, and let's not forget the listed "DRM" support. No price is listed, but it doesn't look like we'll see this thing Stateside anyway -- and you can get a real W810i for peanuts now.

not to mention it rips off the meizu miniplayer interface - it even credits them!
And who did Meizu rip off for theirs?
Its a vicious cycle I suppose..
Haha, its a mighty morphing MP4, i wonder if it is as slim as the Meizu SL:

call me crazy and you probably will, for some reason the screen reminds of a zune. I have no idea why.
naw, i kinda see it too the general look minus the 2 side buttons
kinda looks like the zune
At first I thought it was a zune knock-off. Anyone else?
I'm an Apple Fanboy, and when I saw the picture, it screamed "Zune!!!!"
Looks like a Zune
Seriously?? Engadget has started reviewing Chinese knockoffs now??? *rollseyes*
Guys...
It looks like the Creative Zen...
I love China! You can get a better function product for less price~~Rock on!!
ok its not that bad looking.. i'd buy one if it was from sony =/
looks like zune too me
Actually it shoud be a w910. But I agree that it looks more like a Zune.
"meizu.com"? They didn't even bother to remove any obvious signs that this is a fake.
i dying to see china make a knocoff of the ps3, its already obvious they're not shy on consoles now. The VII!!!!
i hate these knockoffs .. totally tasteless
Its damn rocking yaar
Not just are Chinese never tired of making these knock-offs, you guys are never tired of reporting these. Engadget is like the headquarter of CHINESE knok-off-bashing team. You guys really have some problems with knock-offs, or just with CHINESE.
>"DRM" support
Oh God, the sheer irony of this blinded me for a moment there!
It IS a true Zune knock-off, then!
I thought it was a Zune knockoff at first. I still think it looks more like a Zune knockoff.
