The amount of electronics thrown away rather than recycled in 2007.
The EPA reports that 82% of electronics disposal in 2007 ended up in the garbage (mostly landfills) rather than a recycling center. (source: EPA, July 2008)

How come there is no mention of the actual pixel resolution of these displays. I haven't managed to find it on the website yet either. It is really annoying as it is the first spec I look for.
$390 for a 24" sounds good to me, but I'd like to see some more specs too.

Yawn. Wake me up when one of you guys launch a < 4ms 24 incher with VGA/DVI (maybe also HDMI) @ 1920x1200.
the main reason there isn't one of those is because all the manufacturers seem more interested in making s-pva/ mva/ s-ips monitors, which even though they have much better colour reproduction/viewing angles etc, cant match the response time of TN panels (most cheap ones).
Personally I would still go for the s-pva panels as a bit of a compromise. You don't appreciate how awesome the viewing angles are until you go back to a TN panel!
