The Ferrari Segway: 0 to arcane in 60 seconds
Believe it or not there it is, the Ferrari-branded Segway. It's not any faster than the regular PT i2 and certainly won't help to convince the authorities to repeal any sidewalk-safety laws. It is red, however, and features a conspicuous Cavallino Rampante badge for all your subordinates to see. All yours Mr. PoloPants for just €8,429 or $12,000.

if it's red it _does_ go faster than a normal, non-red segway. All it needs is speed holes and it'll break the land speed record.
All it needs now is a NOS sticker (guaranteed to increase HP by 25%) and a giant wing attached to the back, some spinning rims might also make it faster and cooler...
I hear McLaren have something similar in the pipeline, due out in a few months. It will be quicker than the ferrari to start with, before then suffering numerous mechanical and tyre related issues.
60 seconds? You sure? I would have clocked that in at waaaay less than one second.
$12000?? I can get a decent Harley for that price!
Not sure if there such a thing as a "decent' Harley.
or you could get a normal segway, spray paint it red and put a ferrari sticker on it. Ta Da!
whoever is buying these things needs a rabbit punch in the face
Where do you store your ego on one of those?
Your ego has it's own, of course.
First Porsche makes an SUV and then Ferrari makes a Segway?
Lamborghini is probably gonna make a mid sized sedan hybrid next.
Ferrari Laptops, cellphones and now segways?
The brand seems to be getting cheaper.
....gotta go, my bagels are done in my Ferrari-Toaster-rosa.
Your puns make me almost as happy as my own Segway.

Don't know about a Ferrari toaster but you can get a Porsche:

A ferrari toaster would not be that bad, the shiny red and chrome would look nice in many kitchens :)
will the Mclaren one be ripoff-copy of the Ferrari Segway? And can Mclaren actually work as a team to pull it off?
Your comment is way too subtle for most to understand. But if McLaren WERE to copy the Ferrari Segway, it would be faster...
Could you people, just, not mention Apple or the founders in every damn article? (referring to the Steve Wozniak link)
@David,
Sure, but we don't know anyone else who owns one!
Thomas
Well Ferrari actually use these. If you ever get the chance to go to Maranello, Italy (where the Ferrari factory is) workers are running about in the town on segways!
C'mon people. You can get a 2005 Honda Civic for that, and then you can:
- Drive in the rain
- Go further than 24mi
- Get great gas mileage
- Not look like a dork
- Carry more than a backpack
You can even get them in RED!
Putting lipstick on a pig doesn't make it a prom date.
And, much like pigs, Segways are only fun to ride when no one is looking.
go SPED Racer go!!!
segways would rock if they cost something reasonable...
Wow, amazing. The least they could do was make it a bit faster! Bump up the voltage a bit or something... carbon fiber wheels? Something!

Ferrari is cashing in on it's name. There are Acer Laptops that are Ferrari branded, there are all sorts of other crap that is Ferrari branded. They have sold out! The worst thing is the Ferrari branded crapola is no different than what is currently available... Except for the color, and the HUGE price increase!
Now, I do not even respect the cars that Ferrari makes. Lotus here I come. ;)
Look at it this way, this may be the only way most of us will ever be able to own a Ferrari!
Yeah, collect $1 on your licencing without effort, and lose $10 on your brand value achieved through years of hardwork.
I would not pay $7,000 for a paint job. Especailly for a bad, red paint job.
