History buffs and cellphone aficionados, take note: a couple of wireless picturephone prototypes (circa 1993) have recently been acquired by the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History and should soon be available for all to gawk at. Reportedly, the institution joined with Daniel A. Henderson to get ahold of the two devices and related documentation, which were built to take advantage of a picture / video receiving technology known as Intellect. Notably, this ain't Mr. Henderson's first time donating wares with varying levels of
historical significance, as he's also responsible for the Casio Z7000 and
Atari Portfolio that are on display. Interested in checkin' the duo out for yourself? Go on and circle summer 2008 on your calender.
He so ripped of the iPhone (Ducks).
How much you want to bet that will be the first thing that comes into the head of every fanboy that sees that picture today?
Finally a worthwhile iPhone heckle. Thank you.
Really nice design. I wonder if it's also a petri dish like the iPhone. I was in my favorite high end Sushi joint and discovered that under the counters light those who showed off their iPhones to the waitress were really showing them all their manly grease stains. Somewhere under the stains was the interface but interestingly the waitress could not bring herself to touch the smeared and stained iPhone.
When I had an iPhone I kept cleaning and cleaning.
Anyway back to the story if this phone was on the market now I'd look into buying it. I love the retro look.
how come calendar is spelled wrong?
