LG's UP3: the USB MP3 player for you, Captain Obvious
Meet LG's latest DAP, the UP3. That name gives a hint as to the device's objective to double-up as both a USB drive and MP3 player. Of course, the vast majority of all MP3 players already do this -- something apparently lost on LG's marketing department. The all metal UP3 shares the stylings of their FM37 touch-screen player and comes packing 1GB, 2GB, 4GB of storage; an FM radio; MP3, WMA, and OGG audio and ASF video support; and an itty bitty OLED display of unspecified dimensions supporting 65,000 colors. 4GB will cost you just ?84,000 (about $92) whenever these pop for retail.

Hi UP3!
I don't like you.
He doesn't like you.
I don't like you either!
You just watch yourself. I have the death sentence on 12 systems!
Price isn't too shabby, but not great either.
That's a freakin small display. Why don't they just stick a fingerprint reader there? It would be perfect and more useful.
Aren't all MP3 players USB?
The ones with USB built in are usually about £20!
I think LG has some large investments in the optics shops - you would need some damn strong glasses to WATCH a screen that size - this has got to be a internal feud boiling over into production - craptastic indeed
As the former user of a Creative Jukebox, I can say that no, not all MP3 Players function as hard drives / flash drives... much to my disappointment. I like the size for under $100. I hope the interface is polished.
OGG eh? pretty good.
They also plan to merge an MP3 player with the ability to listen to music on the go.
UP3? IP2!
No comments on the "model"? I don't find her completely unattractive, but I do think they just grabbed her in the mall and said, hey, hold these for a minute and smile.
her look of semi-disappointment is because she's being paid in US dollars instead of Euros!
actually most mp3 players do not double as flash drives. also this one has the usb connection built in so you dont have to carry the cord around to use it for storage.
Where can I purchase a 4GB version? Online? Thanks!
