NEC develops Wideband Wearable Antenna

TV's important right? Sure, now ask yourself: Is it important enough to turn your meat sack into a wideband antenna? NEC thinks so and just announced (officially, that is) its wideband wearable antenna which turns a small, flexible print substrate into a high-performance mobile antenna. The prototype is said to work equally well in open space or when operated up against the juicy impedance of the human body. NEC will be testing the first prototypes for reception of digital terrestrial broadcasts in the 470-770MHz band -- perfect for that upcoming FCC auction eh, cowboy?

Look I really have to go, sorry....
Talk about an interesting choice of words: "turn your meat sack into a wideband antenna"
I think I will keep my.... er.... "meat sack" far, far away from something that evokes images of a radar dish.
Al Franken did this as a bit on "The Daily Show". He was live from Iraq with a dish-mounted helmet.
@John Giotta:
Al Frankin did the "one man self contained remote uplink" bit on SNL looong before the Daily Show. The late 80s/early 90s when Denis Miller was the Weekend Update anchor. The live remote from the crack house is a classic.
To infinity, and beyond!
Yeah love the high quality photoshop work guys, really horrible yellow glow, don't you employ any designers ?
Can't they just wire the damn thing into a pace-maker already, and get it over with? Everytime my heart-rhythm goes nuts, everyone will get a 10% download increase on their bt.
Oh really? I did not know that, thanks for the info :)
That poor kid.... too funny!
Funny indeed.
