Specifications of Verizon's LG Voyager outed
Counting down the hours until the Voyager makes an appearance on Verizon? If so, here's something sure to tide you over. Apparently, the handset's datasheet has made its way onto the intarweb, and it's got just about every detail you could ever want -- save for a price and pinpointed release date, of course. Highlights include a 2.81-inch external touchscreen, VibeTouch tactile feedback support, V CAST Mobile TV, dual integrated speakers, a two-megapixel camera, microSD expansion slot and VZ Navigator preloaded. If you've undoubtedly got this one on your must-have list, hit the read link and eat your heart out.

Yeah I'm definitely purchasing this phone. I'm stuck with Verizon, so I might as well dump this chocolate piece of crap and get a good phone! =] I think the specs and phone look great, hopefully the price isn't too outrageous!
skhawaja @ Nov 1st 2007 1:04AM
when is the photo gallery coming?
St. Stephen @ Nov 1st 2007 1:09AM
Upon further indepth analysis I've noticed no mention of any internal hd.. it seems that all the space you'll have is microSD. too bad it's not 8GB or 16GB plus the microSD slot.. oh well.

Damn, Verizon is really getting a lot of nice phones lately!
If only the Tilt was made by Samsung, and on Verizon...
Andir3.0 @ Nov 1st 2007 7:52AM
Yeah, I ditched Sprint for the phones. Don't ask the people below... there seems to be a lot of hate for Verizon but so far it's been a good ride.
alienw4367 @ Nov 1st 2007 9:37AM
I was going to get this phone, I was planning on it, but since It doesn't have wifi, I will probably end up with the Samsung 760
ray @ Nov 1st 2007 1:48AM
Where is the WIFI???? Verizon is so freakn greedy everything has to be based on the pay for services..add a stupid WIFI chip for fast browsing at home...potential free VOIP calling over WIFI etc....no everything has to occur over pay for EVDO services....no thanks.
nikster @ Nov 1st 2007 1:50AM
Verizon, I don't know how many customers you have wooed by barfing the brand name all over your fine gadgets but what I do know is that you have lost one. I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole.
Andir3.0 @ Nov 1st 2007 7:49AM
Does the Verizon name clash with your Gucci shoes?
Eric @ Nov 1st 2007 2:43AM
doesn't have Mac support, no internal HD, and on "the Network" all means not gonna buy it
Ruckuz @ Nov 1st 2007 3:04AM
How do you launch Safari?
Couldn't resist.
pojo644 @ Nov 1st 2007 3:57AM
you pull out ur iphone! :)
Garst @ Nov 1st 2007 4:57AM
I have not had any luck with LG phones. There is no way I'm going to buy this thing.
Richard @ Nov 1st 2007 5:01AM
After looking at the specs for this phone I would say the Nokia N95-8G leaves it for dead (HTC Tytn II even more). Lets pick a few obvious flaws, Wifi - NO, Flash - NO, 3.2MP-> 5MP Camera - NO.
Twitchy @ Nov 1st 2007 6:09AM
I was about to say it is strikingly similar to the Nokia Communicator range, but missing a lot of the nice features which make them indispensible for business people (and Bruce Willis sidekicks).
PG @ Nov 1st 2007 6:59PM
Ominx - Verizon does offer MAC support for a lot of the devices it sells, but it does take them a few months for it to roll out on new handset. Its like this most of the consumer PC users on the Market use Windows, if your more into Graphics then you use a MAC, then you have everyone else that use some type of Linux system because they dont like Windows or Mac and rather write programs them self. Wait a few month they will have the bugs work out of the handset and have MAC support
MrGutts @ Nov 1st 2007 6:54AM
Don't worry Verizon will disable all the free features as the norm for them and then add the cripple ware and then turn around a couple months later and do a press release saying they have this wonderful new software addon for the phone "hoping you forgot they disabled all that free stuff that already comes in the phone"
Carisa @ Nov 10th 2007 4:56PM
Hmmm, funny how everyone is orgasming over the iphone and saying the voyager doesn't compare, but as I recall, didn't Apple have to LOWER the price after a few weeks due to glitches on the phone? Then REFUND the customers who paid the ridiculous retail price of $600? I have had Verizon for a while now, and have never had a serious problem with any of my phones. So I can't wait for this phone to come out.
Ryan @ Nov 1st 2007 7:34AM
Yea ok like im gonna go buy this piece of crap phone that has every feature disabled on it hahaha. Its like they morphed the chocolate and the lg vx9900 together and made this iphone wannabe. As soon as my contract is up im switching to at&t and getting me an iphone! Screw Verizon! Screw their shitty OS they install on every phone!
Frankenstein Black @ Nov 1st 2007 10:04AM
MEH!
Leo @ Nov 1st 2007 10:04AM
I love how you guys are comparing this regular consumer phone to PDAs...
aoeu00 @ Nov 1st 2007 11:26AM
My Verizon contract is up.. I'm shopping around. I'm also tired of Verizon making every little feature pay service. I did look around though and all the other guys ATT, tmobile, Sprint, etc... seem to all have plans around the same price range. I'm looking at family plans with 3 phones.
Ominx @ Nov 1st 2007 12:15PM
What a shame OS X isn't supported. I probably would've gotten this if they at least made their sync program compatible. Does Verizon think all its customers are Windows users? Or maybe this is to spite Apple...which they will fail doing.
Hopefully a third party like Mark/Space steps up to the plate.
Kris @ Nov 3rd 2007 2:31AM
Looking at the specs it says it has a video player for WMV and a few other formats. Does anyone know if it would then be possible to put say downloaded tv episodes and stuff like that on the phone as long as its WMV and its on your memory card...? That would be a big plus for me...
jake @ Nov 8th 2007 11:11AM
I think the voyager won't be a iPhone killer but it still has some stuff the iphone dose not have like its 3g internet connection
lkay @ Nov 9th 2007 6:31PM
I have been with Verizon for about 4 years now and yes...i have had problems...but nothing major. i like the features that this phone offers and its look. i am not really big on the Vcast, TV, and browsing. On the verizon website it says that the voyager can be pre-ordered for 299.99 but will this price be raised when it is available in stores. I do not want to pay the price of an iphone for this phone which doesnt have everything the iphone offers, but i would like to stay with verizon. All advice is appreciated. THANX

Phone looks awesome, but in order to complete my love of it, I would like a question asked: I currently own an enV, and I love it. I also HATE the chocolate, but it has one feature on it that I wish was on my phone: the ability to do other things while listening to music. Does the Voyage have this? Also what kind of headphone jack does it have, and was it made the right way?!? I had to have my phone replaced twice because the headphone jack was defective.
adam @ Nov 25th 2007 8:44PM
DOES THE VOYAGER HAVE INTERNET BROWSING LIKE THE IPHONE?

I've had the voyager for about 2 weeks now. i'm not really impressed with it but im giving it a fair shot
its a pain in the ass to use the touch screen sometimes i have to press it a couple times for it to acknowledge. the web browser is horrible . the key board is great and screen is also very good both of them . i got the phone for 99.99 so it was a great deal and i would never leave verizon there customer service is un-parallel. my voyager accidentally fell out of its clip and got a dent in the trim and verizon replaced it for free, the silicon cover i had for it ripped accidentally and they also replaced it for free. they are truly a great company although they are expensive and limit phone manufacturers to what they can include on the phone. but as for the voyager i would not have got it if it was more than $100.
gla17624 @ Apr 12th 2009 11:07PM
this is like verizon's version of the lg prada, so why would the voyager have wifi if the lg prada didn't have wifi? unlimited internet, vcast videos, and the option of downloading music right to your phone all comes included for $15/month. if you guys are gonna pay $300 for a phone but not pay $15/month to use the data, then you need to buy a motorola w315 instead and save your $300. =)
