For the fourth year running we're extremely honored that our faithful (and fanatical) readers came out in droves to ensure we were awarded Best Tech Blog in the annual Weblog Awards! Although at first
we weren't immediately sure who actually took home the prize since there seemed to be some ballot stuffing (or at very least a number of huge offices all swarming to vote), the Weblog Awards team spent the weekend poring over the their server logs and proved without a doubt that the title once again lies with Engadget. Of course, the honor is

I appreciate that I can come to this site and actually get a variety of gadget news instead of a dozen of "Ipress releases" and iPhone related fluff stories. Your writing is top notch and I really like that you guys can take criticisms without banning people for having the nerve to state it. A much more mature gadget website.

I agree with Jeff. Overall, you guys just seem a lot more mature than those other guys, and you are definitely more informed, which became quite evident when listening to your podcasts. Passionate about gadgets and respectful towards your readers, that's why Engadget deserves this award. Keep it classy guys.

Maybe if gizmodo didn't ban people for expressing their views, maybe the web world would be a little bit more supportive of this web blog. This site has went to shit over the years (writers and content), I feel like it's a high school/college gadget site now. They deserve what they got, 2nd place for a 2nd rate blog.

An enterance in blog hall of fame (if there is one) and it deserves the respect of many more people on this earth. Definitely congrats, it was well earned. I was kinda nervous towards the end because of how fast gizmodo caught up with all their cheating and even with their cheating they still couldn't beat you. So Congrats!

So today I suppose those giz-losers are not to happy. Just kidding, I love their blog also, although I like Engadget just a little more for some unknown reason. Maybe it's because I discovered their blog through Engadget.Congrats on the victory, but if you want to win again next year, you guys may want to come up with some weekly stories were readers give you guys key questions you want answers to from the tech heavyweights of the industry or something, because the Apple news isn't as enduring to readers as it has been in the past.

Congratulations guys! You are indeed the true winners. I don't know what I would do without my engadget fix each day. I get the most timely news, and some of the most viable news in the gadget world (aside from the occasional 'for fun' post).
You guys keep me updated on all happenings and I often find myself knowing about things that I hear about much later in the news or from other sources. You wouldn't believe how many times I was able to tell my friends who are employees of BestBuy about things happening at their workplace before they had heard anything about it.
Here's for one more year of being the best!
