ASUS' R50A set to "redefine mobile"
All we have is this picture for now and the promise of more around CES in January, but that's Asus' R50A right there. It's listed as a UMPC and said to "redefine mobile" with full PC and GPS functionality. Funny, we thought that's what those gen one UMPCs were supposed to do 1.5 years ago. Anyway, this looks to be the R3 we've already peeped sporting a 4.8-inch display with abiggie1024 x 600 resolution.

Will it cost $700 or less? If not, forget about it.

until I see the communicator device from earth final conflict (the roll out screen) in real life, for sale, at best buy/etc
please keep all 'redefine' comments to yourself asus/etc

Roll-out screen, nothing. I'm waiting for the intra-ocular displays with integrated neural circuits that automatically target my enemies in infrared for destruction by my equally integrated arm rocket launcher.

its more likely to be vista basic or xp tablet, the idea of the eee pc was to keep costs down as low as possible

May I be the first to say, judging by that picture it looks very sexy.

Bring it on Asus this could be just as successfully as your Eee Pc. Now keep the price within that region.
