Shortly after hearing that SlingPlayer Mobile would
finally be headed to the BlackBerry, we're now getting word that Sling Media is updating its SlingPlayer software to version 2.0. Unfortunately, no details have been doled out regarding specific platforms, and there's not even a changelog to speak of just yet, but it looks as the firm wanted to make absolutely sure you realized its
Clip+Sling feature would definitely be showcased. Stick around, we'll be sure to keep you up to date with any developments.
How about the iPhone? The Pearl screen is so small. Look at the video... it's tiny! Anyway, isn't AT&T bandwidth too crappy for video anyway? Is this thing running on Verizon's Pearl only?
You wouldn't want to watch it over Edge (it does work, but looks horrible). It looks great over HSDPA on my Tilt though.
+1 for incredible SlingPlayer experience over HSDPA on a Samsung Blackjack (well as incredible as you can get for a tiny screen).
I've always had a thing for Leslie Griffith. I miss her non sequiturs that would cause all the other news personalities around her to freeze in a silent panic -- but since she became anchor, her personality has been steamrolled into a professional flatness.
My favorite Dennis Richmond moment was the only time in decades I've ever seen him lose his smooth flow. He was reading a story about Tupac Shakur years ago, never having seen the name before, he uneasily stumbled out "rap artist.... two pack shaker..."
That's hilarious about his Tupac mispronunciation.
I miss Bay Area news ever since I moved to the Sacramento area. KTVU really has their shit together. The Sacramento evening news broadcasts are just a little strange for me. Their humor is a little goofy, and sometimes they really make it feel like I'm living in Cow Town.
It's funny how you can gage a town by its news broadcasts. Watch news in LA, and right away you'll notice how "plastic" they are and how fake their little scripted "jokes" are. Totally fits the area.

i would love to ditch wine and get a Linux slingplayer.
