I like to read all of the tech news - thats why i go to engadget. I still don't understand why people complain about articles - better to have too many than not enough...
Right now, in firefox, I can only see three links to something related to the Zune. The iPod had almost 9 constant posts during it's launching days.
@yetanothername: if you don't like zune posts, they made this really handy tool called...the scroll bar! yes, the scroll bar where you can move up and down your screen to view other articles. i know, its quite a feat and its practicality is almost limitless! try it now its only located on every window on the right hand side of your screen, or better yet, if you have a mouse your that center wheel! my oh my how far we've come with interweb technologies.
Who wants to bet these will start appearing on eBay within a week?

Hopefully a company pops up that does custom colors like with the iPod.

You said it rTwelve. I love it when they complain that they're being "censored" just because they disagree, but all of them are a bunch of brats that resort to insults.
You guys forgot to mention that they are 16gb, something people would want depending on the price vs other 8gb & 16gb flash players.

Let me guess this one adresses the problems with the regular Zune2 models, like the cheap not so bright LCD screen and the touch pad Lag, also the poorly Advertized 4 hour battery Life which is really like 3, why the heck if this thing is 10x bigger than a Nano, how come the Nano has a brighter LCD screen and a bettery battery Life, Am so piss off right now i had a lot hopes for this device and feel like blending it already, someone send me a Use a Nano and i promice ill blend the Heck out of it and post a youtube video to Prove it

Dude put up or shut up, send me a old iPod Nano and I will post a video on you tube blending my new second Gen Zune, that's because I made the mistake of selling my old ipod to get this shiet, I ingnored all the good reviews not listen to the Msft fanboys now am screw with this shiet, no wonder engadget & gizmodo are not saying much because they said it was supposed to be so great and now the realize what a piece of crap this is, Can you believe that they even got rid of the EQ and still people want to talk about sound quality, how that sounds
ya... I've seen none of the "problems" you're talking about, and it's ~1.2x as big and at 8.5mm, that's not really that big of a deal. Honestly it comes to a point where it just feels like it's going to break. Oh and you left out the part about how it can sync tv shows from wmc, has a glass screen, is MUCH easier to use with the touch pad than the nano is with it's scroll wheel(I'm sorry but it is, I'm much less likely to accidentally skip a song), doesn't scratch as easily on the back(in addition to the glass screen making it harder to scratch on the front), and weighs less(something that actually matters on something that small). I really don't know why you're complaining, are you having trouble using it or something?
plain and simple its bigger than the Nano, it should have had a better battery because of that, the Nano has a 5 hour battery life and this thing says its supposed to have 4 hour and it hardly gives you 3 thats point, EQ is also gone now so no way its goin to have a better sound quality, dude it take 5 minutes to sync 2 songs so how the heck your goin to sync a tv show from media center? I'll take days LOL am taking it back tomorrow

I see a lot of wah wah wah when any rational person would have just returned the Zune by now. That's proof enough beside your ridiculous comments that you probably never even owned one to begin with. So how about you do us all a favor and just STFU already and go back to your bridge.
If this is 16GB then the question is why didnt Microsoft mass produce 16GB players ? Would be a great advantage over the nano imo!
The cost point was too much for the price of 16G worth of NAND to get a goot return on investment would be my guess. Liken it to why you don't buy bleeding edge stuff, but something cutting edge for your new PC - buying the very best sometimes is way too much for what you would pay for something similar but not *quite* as nice.

i hope they release 16GB ones after the price of the flash memory goes down. I would really consider buying a 16GB than a 80GB even if they were the same price just coz of the form factor. Don't know about others though... just my preference.

Dang!! I wanted that. It looks dope. The new large text menus are really nice looking and the scroll feature is sweet..up there with my ipod. this makes me regret just purchasing an expensive ipod dock.
16gb is nice must be even more money than a touch cause a touch is really big in size compared to zune 8 so a 16gb small flash drive

Now I'm an Apple/iPod fan but I just don't believe you. No way a flash Zune 2 can only have 3 hour real-life battery life. Who would put out something as stupid and shitty as a flash DAP that can only do 3 hours this close to 2008?

Oh, OK, that makes more sense.. actually, that's the only way it could make any sense ;-) Thanks for the clarification. 3 hours real life? Hmm, I guess that's not as good as it could be. What's the real life battery life for the nano w/ video? Tech spec says 5 hours, which would be better than 3 but not fantastic..
well they always *lie* a bit.. Zune's specs however say 4h battery life (video) and not 3h.

i think its an AWESOME way of showing your appreciation. Feels so good to have a product that you know that ordinary people would never have.

I hope they introduce that as a limited-edition color in the near future, it looks as good as, if not better than Zune4/8 colors like green or pink.
Ya... mine pretty much syncs at a normal pace for any media player... Hell I'm even syncing the shows wirelessly. As for battery life, apple is notorious for stretching the battery life specs so I dunno why you'd think theirs is any better. Also, there's a big problem zunes don't have that ipods have very clearly had in the last 2 years or so and that's breaking. I had an original zune and dropped it countless times on asphalt and concrete(kinda rough on my stuff) and it worked perfectly. In fact when I broke it so I could return it to best buy for the 2 year plan I had to douse the thing in water 3 times before it finally broke. My girlfriend went through 2 ipods and is on her 3rd in the same amount of time. As for lack of EQ, it's a major pain in the ass having to go back to settings every time it changes a song and change the eq to match it. Not to mention the fact that, as has been pointed out before, the EQ on the ipod downright sucks and the audio output quality aint much better.

I actually liked that color... it's not pastel and gehy... if there was a color in the front running for me to get a zune.. it was that one.. As dumb as it is. I have a mac at work and a PC at home. I need mac support.
