Verizon launches Kyocera KPC680 EV-DO Rev. A ExpressCard
Still waiting around to hop on the Rev. A highway? Although last week would've been a swell time to do so, now's not too bad either, and Verizon Wireless customers have yet another option at their fingertips. The Kyocera KPC680 ExpressCard is available now for anyone interested, and enables BroadbandAccess users to reach average download speeds of 600kbps to 1.4Mbps and upload speeds that range from 500kbps to 800kbps when situated in a Rev. A area. Additionally, this thing sports a "breakthrough" (ahem) antenna design that "moves the antenna away from the device as it is opened, providing greater sensitivity, dual external antenna ports for signal flexibility and a compact form factor." Get yours now for just $49.99 after a mail-in rebate and throwing your John Hancock on a two-year agreement.

absolutely, it is a good news to Verizon Wireless customers. i guess the Kyocera KPC680 ExpressCard will be popular with people.

Boo to advertising
Boo to advertising for one's self
The ironic part is, she allegedly writes a cell phone blog and didn't include her area code. o_o
Uh. . . '80s Tommy Tutone song. Not self promotion.

hey engadget could you fit a few more giant moving ads on your page? i can still read the content
Awesome, but the Novatel USB 727 is a lot cooler.. on board memory (doubles as a memory card) and is smaller and works via USB. Performance roughly the same.
In the end, no matter what you use, EvDO Rev A rocks! With the abandonment of WiMax (Sprint's annoucement is just the first brick to fall), I'm hoping that the carriers wake up and move us to Rev B (cheap for them to do) to tide us over to 2011 when they move to Rev C (UMB - more expensive to do)!
Title should read "an expresscard."
John Hancock....Ha! It's HERBIE Hancock!
Will this VZ card self-activate on a Mac? Or do you have to activate it on a PC first?
