The Seven Sins! That is just masterful writing!
Sears has a 56" Panny 1080P LiFi (Some sort of new technology) DLP for $1000.
Frys has the same TV for $777 as well as an Emprex 32" LCD 1000:1 720p for $377 that has been on sale since midnight last night.
can you PLEASE stop putting this post at the top every 2 hours? just post updates instead?
such a shame since i'm not wiling to camp out in line to spend my own hard-earned money....
maybe once i wake up.. have a few pancakes, and swing by the stores at ten.
fighting all the soccer moms who read engadget.
Target has a Olevia 37" for $549. Circuit City has a 32" lcd for $399. They also have a $799 Samsung 50" DLP
ooo the Apple Store is down! Kinda sad that they have to take the whole store down just to make minor updates for Friday's sale.
circut city was down too. haven't checked it for a few minutes though might be back by now.
12:04 PST and apples web store is down. So much for hanging out for the super cool deals....
Actually, the apple store is currently updating.
"We'll be back soon."
Regardless, not open. so much for 12:01 PST.
didn't see your comment before i added mine. actually i was talking about how engadget said there were no deals. btw, they always have free shipping.
Apple will be selling their products for what they should be selling for in the first place. Greedy mothers! :-)
"Samsung 40-inch 1080p LCD TV - $1200"
Cann't find the 40' 1080p TV. Only find the 720p one
I got my 40" 1080p Samsung at Best Buy this morning for $1250 after tax. I rolled in close to 7am too.
I cannot find this $230 Toshiba laptop deal to save my life. No matter what area code I put in, the deal doesn't show up. Is it a online deal only?
Apple Store still down... :S
Kohls is having a sale on socks, I believe. They open at 4am!
Apple store-
12:15 PST and still nothing. screw this, i have to get up at six tomorrow.
scratch that, 12:17. and i have to get up at 6 today, technically.
Wal-Mart has a pretty sweet deal on a dell laptop. It has some pretty good specs but what really makes it a deal is that you get 2 gigs of memory with it for $598. It says that it's available in the stores and online. If you go to the site, you can check out the circular.
Best Buy had a line wrapping around the store by midnight. I think I'll skip the holidays this year.
Apple Store has been down since 1:40am on 11/23 eastern time USA. As of 3:15am (i.e. 12:15 PST) it's still down.
Just remember to comparison shop. For example, Amazon.com has a FAMILY PACK (5 licenses) of iWork '08 for $80. Apple sells a SINGLE license for that much.
the funny thing about black friday deals is that even the online ones, they arent in stock....
for example a 42 inch plasma on sale with circuit city online, and they are already not in stock and cant really order for delivery :)
bastards!
Apple....mm at least i never feel ripped off when I buy apple products.
I kinda want an imac..
Looks as if apple store is back up, but getting hammered. I've yet to get the page actually loaded.
Still down for me...
nice.
Anybody found any deals for ps3 80GB ? circuit city has a free controller offer but it's out of stock and I can't order it.
Apple Store is still down here.
Still seems down to me...
Nintendo WII in stock @ Amazon.com 12AM PST. Finally, some place that doesn't make you buy a $500 bundle!
could have fooled me i dont see them in stock and less than 500 :)
amazing intarwebz dealzz
I want an apple! NOW!!!!
I want many apples! I want an apple right now! grrr ok I love steve jobs! lol

thats a good deal for sure on that tv! argh wish i didnt already have a lcd tv 1080p haha
unless you're looking for accessories and crappy discounts on things you don't want, then hit up the apple store. It's up right now. free laser engraving and shipping??! OMG!! Apple has really out done themselves this time. Time for some sleep after a disappointing apple store "update"
I never shop on black friday.
I'd rather pay regular or more normal sale price for my items than deal with that madness.
@jAsian -- my sentiments exactly.
Seems lame.

Mmmmm Donuts...
Amazon's got more deals than the 1 that starts at 6, including buy 2-get 1 free HD-DVD/Blu-Ray (select titles only).
i can't believe there aren't more comments about the obvious abuse and trademark infringement on the Black Flag logo. I am not a lawyer, but it seems you may need someone's permission before using it. It certainly is a Black Friday.
Hell yes !
Asssociating Black Flag with a mass consumerist event is something of a 'faux pas'. That's unfortunate for a good site like Engadget.
Hey I just noticed that too!
Henry Rollins for President!
Vote Rollins/Biafra 2008!
Wal-mart has it where you buy a PS3 and you get 10 free Blueray movies, in store, on saturday http://holiday.ri-walmart.com/?section=secret
