ToyTi TV offers kid-friendly wireless streaming
Parents looking to keep close control over what their kids are watching and cut a few wires in the process now have a new option to consider in the form of the ToyTi TV, which looks to have just made its debut in Europe. As you can see, the system consists of a transmitter and a display, the former of which can pick up analog or DVB-T TV signals and accommodate your video device of choice, while the latter pumps out the programming whilst your kid marvels at the wonders of wireless technology (or is distracted by the customizable furry cover). As if that wasn't enough, parents can also keep tabs on what their kids are watching using the 2.5-inch LCD on the transmitter. No word on a price, but given the unit's DVB-T dependence, you can bet it won't be making its way over here (at least in its current form).

In the future, advanced technology will be a substitute for good parenting techniques.
Rather than simply "telling" your child not to watch hardcoreporn, you can just set up a firewall with your little transmitter and pay them no mind at all.
That is...while they get autism from the wifi signals.

Take your kids to the park. Televisions in a child's room is a very stupid idea. A radio will stimulate the child's mind while the boob tube will numb it.
I'm not a Dad...Yet but when I am, I can be certain that my children will be my life. Theses distractions are a recipe for disaster. Attention from parents and other humans are what they need and want. TV is the death of the imagination.

Oh boo hoo hoo. I really don't feel the need to be such babies. This is a great idea. Anyone with kids would love it. I'm willing to bet most of the ignoble comments here are from non-parents. This is the 21st Century. Kids are wired, or in this case unwired. Get used to it...and while you're at it, get a life.

I don't suppose parents will be concerned about the wireless giving their kids brain tumors....

I don't believe that the majority of Americans would even understand the concept of digital terrestrial television, much less a device capable of transmitting signals to another location in the house.
Sure, we've finally got the idea of wireless internet access in the home, and have hit a 22 percent penetration rate nationwide, but the close-minded Fox-watchers out there would have us think this was a French invention designed to make American employees join unions. Or something.
Even my cable company doesn't carry all the digital programming available to me FROM THE ANTENNA ARRAY I CAN SEE FROM MY FRONT PORCH.
No, this device doesn't have much of a market here in the US. On the other hand, that plush teddy bear with the TV camera in the bear's nose - that people understand. Gotcha.
