Mimoco announces new line of Star Wars-themed flash drives
Those disappointed by the character selection in Mimoco's original lineup of Star Wars-themed flash drives will soon have a few more familiar, if somewhat distorted, faces choose from, as the company has just announced its second series of drives. Included this time around are Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, and perennial geek favorite, Boba Fett. Each are also available in the same 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB varieties as before, but they're a bit cheaper this time around, running $50, $70, and $110, respectively. Just don't plan on doling out these this holiday season, as they won't start shipping until January or February.

But will they blend?

Will it End?
I'm fed up of these "will it Blend" posts, their not funny, they never were, and they kill the mood of every single blog post almost as much as fanboy-ism does.
So to all you posters, politely fuck off and leave us all alone

will youuuu blend?
J.P. Damico @ Nov 28th 2007 5:17PM
They look like those little chocolates wrapped in foil. Yum - I'll take two please!

They left out my personal favorite, Admiral Akbar.

It's a trap!
Sorry, had to be done.
Greg @ Nov 28th 2007 5:58PM
It is a trap, I bought one of these for a friend, they got the order wrong, a 2GB instead of a 1GB, which he didn't complain about, but it died within 20 days of use. I tried to get Mimoco to replace it, but they ignored me. Worst customer service I've ever had. I've sent them three or four email following up on it, and NOTHING!
Don't buy these, you're just flushing your money down the can.
Matthew Hilario @ Nov 28th 2007 6:19PM
MIMOCOWNED!
tande @ Nov 28th 2007 7:37PM
I've gotten a couple of mimobots. One before the SW ones came out and one from the first series of SW drives. Haven't had a lick of trouble with either of them.
It did seem like the SW drives hit them harder then they expected and there were major delays getting that but they gave me a credit for it and apologized again and again.

Hey, what are you trying to push on us?

strider_mt2k @ Nov 28th 2007 7:00PM
Hey whatabout that blue one??
Karim @ Nov 28th 2007 9:54PM
Tomorrow I want you to take that 2GB unit into Anchorhead and have its memory flushed. That'll be the end of it. It belongs to us now.
kyle allen @ Nov 29th 2007 3:19AM
this thumb drive has a bad motivator!
Brendan @ Nov 28th 2007 6:01PM
These are not the flash drives you're looking for.
kralserver @ Nov 28th 2007 8:19PM
thanlks
Dan @ Nov 28th 2007 6:38PM
Ugh. I'm repulsed.
Sean D. @ Nov 28th 2007 7:20PM
Those are cool. I especially like the Han Solo, but per square-inch, that's paint is more expensive than the black paint that Apple uses on the Macbook! $70 premium over your average name-brand 4GB flash drive is too much for me. I fold.
Greg @ Nov 28th 2007 7:44PM
Well, that doesn't explain how I was treated.
tande04 @ Nov 28th 2007 10:01PM
It doesn't really. I do think they weren't quite ready for for the rush from the SW sales and that might account for some of it, though not excuse it.
Did you try their forums? I've seen them deal with a few customer service things there.

Give in to the Darkside! it is your destiny!
oshean @ Nov 29th 2007 12:49AM
Why I should stick my neck out for you is far beyond my capacity!
Richard @ Nov 29th 2007 3:17AM
MEH! Give em 4/10 on the geeko meter. If they really wanted these to be stunning they would have put a small peizo speaker inside with themed mount and unmount sounds coming out of the thumb drive.
Japanophile @ Nov 30th 2007 12:17PM
Actually, they do... I've got a Vader from the 1st series, and when I plug him into my machine, it pulls his lines from the OT. Kinda sweet. Wish I had gotten Chewbacca instead, though, just because a Wookiee roaring Mac is a beautiful thing
