I'll give EA credit. At least they're actively giving replacements so soon after the game's release.
Activision on the other hand is dragging their feet as much as is humanly possible with respect to the Dolby Pro Logic issue with "Guitar Hero III" for the Wii. They're still "investigating" the matter. >:( Activision only needs to send out a replacement DVD with the DPL properly activated. EA has to send out a whole new guitar.
Well, I'm not so much knocking there support and return people. The site was easy to use and the phone rep I spoke with at a later date was very helpful and informative. That part of the process was good. But the Q&A........ C'mon as soon as you open the bundle you're confronted by a big pink slip telling you not to return any malfunctioning peripherals to the store you bought it from. They knowingly rushed possibly faulty products to the consumer, crossed their fingers, and beefed up their return and support personnel. Perhaps I'm somewhat in disdain of the whole consumer goods market as of late. What with the Chinese toys(Lead and GHB), non-fda approved "Herbal Supplement" advertising 24-7(HEAD-ON apply directly to the forehead), and now my rock band bundle. Companies need to spend less time on advertising and promotion and more time making sure they deliver what YOU pay for. I don't now about you but I work pretty hard for my money, and while I don't have a problem indulging myself, I do have a problem with getting the short end of the stick when I do
