I don't know about you but my 6'9 ass looks pretty goofy playing ddr/wiifit/ or anything designed around 95% person.
The phrase is actually--"came on like Gang Busters" referring to an old, long-running radio show that always began with a bunch of loud police-themed sound effects. It came on with a bang. "Sell like gangbusters?" What does that even mean?
The name is so ironic. How does a board make you fit?
Nike Plus is by far the best exercise gadget ever. I've almost run 80 miles already. http://www.runnerplus.com/people/rplumley
Heh. Didn't know that Engadget was in a habit of promoting affiliate links. Someone's getting really rich off that Success-HK one. If I'm not mistaken, it's the person that posted the Wii-News post.
Meh, I'll stick to using my PowerPad and NES, thank you.
maybe this will help with the cankles.
Will Roger Avary sue?
"The company just released its highly-anticipated Wii Fit in Japan today, ... Miyamoto's latest charming contraption."
I have read this sentence 5 times and still cannot parse the grammar. wtf you guys.
Attention cute Japanese girls!
Do not buy this product! It's a waste of your money!
If you need exercise, I'm willing to give you a workout you're sure to love.
..And I can do wonderful things with a Wiimote. It's that shape for a reason.
Rowr!
I saw that in JUSCO (Aeon) about 3 weeks ago, so much for "Just started selling today" its been out awhile.
That was for the promotional boxes, which were empty.
I actually went to Aeon this morning to pick it up.
80 set at my store.
0-100kg its accurate to every 500mg.
100-136 its accurate to every 1kg.
>136KG not for you :)
dude thats the honda fit logo font -- fit has to be that font?
Hoy!
I picked up a copy today. Very cheap 8800 yen (about 85ish US dollars)
It is excellent.
It promptly told me my BMI was too high and my "mii" swelled up like a balloon. I've got some work to do hah!
Some of the exercise are quite brutal, others like the Yoga are very challenging with the balance you have to maintain.
Only slight criticism is that I am quite tall 194 center meters so the the balance board is not as wide as I would like to suit my natural shoulder width stance. Smaller people will have no problem.
This is gonna sell fast and hard and print Cash like no tomorrow!
Btw it says on amazon's website that it will be may 25th 2008 that it will be released in Europe and the UK look here, its about half way down the page under product details:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nintendo-Wii-Fit/dp/B000VJ8UXO
Can't believe they let it slip:
MAY 25th 2008 RELEASE DATE IN EUROPE!!!

If some people can't use their Wiimotes without destroying everyone around them, then this is gonna be hilarious! There's going to be an influx of people putting their own heads through their new TVs!
Well, the non-moving fat does belong to America... (the title)
to find out more about wii fit, just read the official japanese site, if you know japanese that is. but you can still get a sense through pictures. there are 2 main green buttons at the bottom, click on the one on the right (has an image of someone bending and has the number 40 on it). that will show you the training games withing. you can click on each one for details and there's a little icon of the movement you do.

i don't see any game on it that would incorporate jumping, just running. the running is while your wii remote is in your pocket, so i don't see weight on the board as being too much of an issue. the main categories are: balance games, aerobic exercise, yoga, and resistance training.
as for the person who said mcdonald's has been in japan only since 1997, where the hell did you get that date from? or do you live deep in the back woods of japan? i was eating mcd's 10 years before that in japan and it wasn't brand new. reading their japanese site, they've been there since 1971.
