Who buys these? I really can't see a big - okay any - market for super low resolution Geordi visors that don't do anything cool like the nickname would imply.
I'm just puzzled at how many of these have been shown on Engadget, I would have thought one company could have easily covered the entire demand for them.
Well, some people commute and would like to watch videos from their phone/ipod/etc. on a bigger more comfortable and private screen. At the price they ask for this, there's plenty or reason for some people to get this device. While I would like a higher res one for other uses, you have to remember that other companies charge more than $500 for the same resolution and those that make headsets with 720p are hovering in between $1000 and $2000. Heck, if you need high def that much and got the money, might as well just buy a tv so other members of family can enjoy the well spent money.
