Sprint soft launching XOHM in "the next few days"
Despite rumor and conjecture to the contrary, Sprint's XOHM-branded WiMax service plans are alive and well. Well enough to soft-launch anyway. The Chicago, Washington D.C., and Baltimore pipes will all go live "in the next few days," according to Ben Shen, VP of Product Management and Partnership Development. Official launch is still (somewhat) expected for Q2 2008. Business as usual while they court prospective financial suitors, perhaps.

Alright. That's it. I've had it.
Here's my new acronym: QKyZI3. It stands for nothing meaningful, yet it's completely proprietary. It's unpronounceable, copyrighted, and invented solely as the end result of a marketer's wet dream. It will also be obsolete next spring.
This is freakin' ridiculous.

Still no love for Atlanta. It would be nice if they would be nice if a new wireless technology would be rolled out here in Atlanta for once. I suppose the market here just doesn't cut it.
Though I am excited to see Sprint rolling out WiMAX and VZW heading towards LTE, I just don't know if I should wait to see if VZW stops sucking with it's 5GB Umlimited Data service or switch back to Sprint when WiMAX makes it way here in Q4 2009.
