I like the red one.
Wow, that'll go great with my Orange walls!!!
/sarcasm
Seriously, I didn't know "gamer" meant "garish lack of taste". How am I supposed to integrate a red TV into my entertainment center? Having a white 360 and a black PS3 would be bad enough.
OMG, without, like, matching colors, the techno-fashion policy are going to totally call you out.
http://www.colorwarepc.com/ buddy
Chuckles, buy a $1500 tv, $400 360, and $450 PS3 and tell me you aren't going to take color into consideration. We're not talking matching my "free" Razor to my shoes.
Wow.. that red one looks like a giant Etch-a-Sketch
:/
Oh my god, after you said that it really does lol. A tv looking like that is more for 4 yr olds then a gamer lol.
ratnikh wins. fatality.
ratnikh wins. fatality.
I wish Sharp would lose the ugly grey chin on their LCD TVs...the grey chin just doesn't seem to fit.
I think that's the "speaker bar"... maybe? But yeah, it would look better in black, or matched to the bezel color.
I have to agree with newgalactic above... it seems like every time a big company makes something supposedly aimed at gamers they make it fugly as hell or think making it in primary colors is gamer-oriented.
Actually ratnikh, Sharp's previous LCD TVs for gamers (LC-32GP1U, LC-37GP1) were not in primary colors...Actually the GP1 was ALL black...didn't have fugly colors or a fugly grey speaker chin. It was the best looking Sharp in their lineup actually cause it was the only one that didn't have that stupid grey chin...it was black...how it should of been in the first place.
I would never buy it no matter how good it might be because of what Jeff just posted, the ugly grey chin. Why do these monitor companies do such stupid things, like put that ugly grey chin under the monitor. I would never buy a monitor like that. I don't even want speakers installed on it. If I want speakers, I would just buy good quality and powerful ones, not the cheap $5 speakers that they put in the monitors. Don't they do any research?
I am a gamer. I just sold my Dell 2405 because there are better monitors out there. I just ordered the Dell 2405WFP-HC. I didn't want another Dell, but I just couldn't find anything any better for gaming or that looked as nice. If this monitor looked better, I would sell the new monitor on EBAY and buy this one, but this monitor looks terrible.
that's pretty hideous.
If they're making it specifically for gamers it should come with a free year supply of cheetos and porn magazines.
who uses mags anymore? isn't that why god invented the internet?
Man, this Sharp doesn't even look sharp.
2560x1900 and I'd have jumped on it.
It would look decent hanging on a wall, the stand needs work. I only hope the speaker bar is not wrapped in nylon or whatever that speaker sh!t is so I can paint it.
For the record, I will be buying this is replace my ancient Samsung 32' 1080i POS.
Hey Trick, can I have your ancient Samsung 32" 1080i POS? If you saw what I game on right now you'd piss your pants laughing.
Al H,
Notice he said foot (') instead of inch (").
Sounds like his screen resolution is not 1920 x 1080.
and it will only cost you $1500!!!!
They should have put two big round knobs on either side so that we could draw pictures with it, one knob to make the line go up or down, and the other knob to make the line go left to right.
Maybe, they could put grey hair on the top of the monitor so that it could have grey hair with its grey chin.
What an ugly monitor. I think they should promote the guy that came up with that design so that they can get him out of that department. Maybe, put him in the deparment of chip egonomics. At least, then the ugly chip he would develop would be hidden from view.
