Zoltrix PMP smells like a USB hub
Nah, Zoltrix Technology didn't actually merge a 4-port USB hub with a PMP, but quite frankly, it may have been more worthwhile if that were indeed the case. As it stands, this totally unsightly unit merely plays back MP3, WMA, MPEG, AVI, ASF, WMV and VOB files, rocks a built-in image / text viewer and includes an FM tuner for whatever it's worth. Apparently, the unit can be had in 256MB, 512MB, 1GB and 2GB sizes, but seriously, don't be caught dead with this one.[Via PMPToday]

Yes everybody. Don't buy it because it's not an Ipod.
Where's the price?

Why does it have 4 USB ports if it isn't a USB hub?

Erm, it doesn't have 4 USB ports. Those are buttons down the side...

Yep, it is an MP4 player thingy alright!

And it can't play anything from the USB ports either? That's crap...
There is this wonderful mini dock for the Archos 605 with a regular USB port that lets you hook up any mass storage device, play things and copy from it. It also has a TV out and AC charging port.

Wow, that thing looks like total crap!

I want an MP3 player that also makes coffee!

I bought a very similar device recently. For approx £50, you get a 2GB USB drive that also offers a color screen for data browsing (mine is intended to browse images and handles the task pretty well) and other goodies like MP3 and FM radio.
For $50, does the job, but it would be totally pointless if it came close to or over $100
