Dual-SIM phones are still pretty rare 'round these parts, but those of you who need the two-line action in Asia might want to check out Verzio's new Duplii and Twinn handsets. Verzio says the Duplii (pictured) is the first triband 3G handset with dual-SIM slots, but it would be pretty respectable even without the two cards, with a 2 megapixel camera, 2.2-inch display, and media playback capabilities. The EDGE-only Twinn packs is basically the same, only in slider form minus the 3G. Both are on sale now in the Philippines, but apparently they'll be in the rest of Asia sometime in 2008.
I've heard about those Chinese dual-sim phones..Why won't these big phone companies like Nokia and Samsung produce proper dual-sim phones? I've just ordered a so-called "NON-CUT" dual-sim adapter which i got from dual-sim.eu , this one: http://www.dual-sim.eu/product_info.php/products_id/132
Does somebody has experiences with them?
First! 2Mega pixel is rubbish!
2mp crap! my sentiments exactly!
But why doesnt the iPhone crowed think that?
As they are all Brainwashed or Zombies, or delusional! haha
All hail the Nokia N95 and it's 5MP glory!!
I am still amazed why dual sim has never become that popular. With all the business people going around with two mobile phone, one for personal and for business, you would think that this market must have been cornered by now. A business man can then get the company to buy him a fancy mobile, obviously for business purposes, which he can also use for personal calls while keeping the bills separate. So, great trend, hopefully it will be noticed and picked up by other manufacturers too.
many people have a second line that doesn't use a sim card (verizon for example). this phone is useless in America unless both of your lines are on Cingular/AT&T or T-Mobile.
That makes perfect sense...dual screens, dual keyboards, dual sliders,...why can't those huge multi-national corporations just make dual-SIM like that? I've always wanted 2 different plans from 2 different providers (i live in Vietnam), but I can't do that unless i settle with a crappy rip-off from China. Shame.
i get the benefit of a dual-line phone, but i thought verizon (a CDMA network) didn't use sim cards?
omg it says verzio not verizon. wow. somebody shoot me. sorry.
LOL! Classic!
+1 for you.

For anyone else, you can get two numbers in one phone for Verizon. I think you have to pay for the other line (duh) plus extra.
I want to test out this phone.
Meh, nothing special except for the 3G inclusion. Samsung and LG already sell dual-SIM+dual-mode phones in China (China uses cards for CDMA too; one card for CDMA and one card for GSM- 2 separate radios so both can send/receive at the same time).
hmm, it looks like the one of bell pepper.

Well I don't know what other wireless providers offer, but I know Rogers in Canada offers two numbers on one sim card. So you can have a personal phone # and one for business. The nice thing about it is they only charge $20 for the added line and don't charge you the system access fee and E911 fee.
This one's a Kirf. The Duplii looks like Techfaith's Twins.
