Samsung's BD-P1400 Blu-ray player dips to $270
Whoa, Nelly! Just three days after we saw Samsung's BD-P1400 crack the $300 barrier, the unit is now down below $270 at Amazon. More specifically, it can be had right now for $269.98, which certainly brings it a lot closer to the price range currently dominated by HD DVD. The only question now is: how much lower will it go (and when)?

Well the offer is still ongoing. The fine print actually says purchases through November 30th, but claims must be postmarked by December 31st. For those of us who would buy one now (myself likely included), we're out of luck on that deal.
Panasonic's profile 1.1 player?!
Profile 1.1. Blu-ray's retouch of the interactive CD!?
Not exactly impressive.
No sign of any profile 1.1/interactive CD type media yet?
LMAO.
Did anyone notice that the price dropped even lower yesterday? For a while, it was under $240 from Electronics Express. I ALMOST pulled the trigger.

It's a cr@ppy buggy Samsung.
Seriosuly, these are sh*te players.
See the various owners forums for proof.
It's only profile 1.0, it's a dead end.
It looks like they're getting out of Blu-ray standalones and are just going to be making dual format players or maybe HD DVD players (they make notepad/laptops with HD DVD).
