roach Microsoft's Surface technology is totally different. It uses a bunch of cameras to track the movement. It would not surprise me if you can trick it by putting your finger or another object close but not touching the screen. Currently it also requires the use of a rear projection screen and projector. The technology would not work in a laptop, portable, or even your average desktop.
