You can already do this with your Nabaztag (your friends can leave vocal messages to it) and it can be used as an alarm clock, and you don't need to have your computer on which really isn't good for the energy saving efforts the world has to make, a computer is very energy consuming even in sleep mode. Another problem is you need to set up your computer to not fall into sleep mode...
I have a Nabaztag and when my friends leave a message it is the rabbit talking only. I don't hear their actual voice message or them talking about a new song, then hearing that song afterwards. Maybe Im missing something?
I agree about the ecology and having to keep your computer on, but I looked on this Sleep companies blog and see they making it available on mobile devices and alarm clocks.
