Pentagon prepping non-lethal "light and sound" weapon
Blissfully unaware that it's up against a generation raised in the sensory madhouses known as techno clubs, the Pentagon is reportedly working on a non-lethal weapon that utilizes light and sound to sicken and disorient targets. Like Homeland Security's "pukelight," the so-called Distributed Sound and Light Array Debilitator being developed by Penn State's Applied Research Laboratory is meant to induce a feeling of nauseousness, in this case combining light patterns with "aversive noises." So yeah, like we said, sounds pretty effective unless you happen to run into a group of insurgents hardened by years of all-night raving and the accompanying neurological damage.

Is Rush releasing a new album?
No, it's Vanilla Ice v2. It seems that too many people were drunk or high in '90 to be affected (or were confused as to why they were nauseated), but with "Just Say No" taking a better hold they are trying again.
Another Rush hater! I am not alone, someone else feels my pain!
I like Rush's music right up to the point their lead singer opens his pie hole. I feel the same way with Rage Against the Machine.
Rush? Interesting.
The first thing I thought of was Brian Adams.
It's always the Canadians who make everyone want to throw up with their music.
You could take the worst Rush release and its still 100x better than any top40 crap that you hear on the stations.
Britney Spears vs Rush in an instrument tuning session and I'll take Rush.
I wonder how this works with extacy
Don't rave me, bro!
Is it just me or does every single non lethal weapon KILL PEOPLE?
A French girl was shot in the eye with a non lethal pellet and died of brain injury.
People keep dying from TASERS and those videos keep making Youtube's Top 10.
A Black woman died of a heart attack when Police FLASH BANGED the WRONG APARTMENT.
I'm already expecting the Pentagon's "Pain Beam" Microwave cannon to kill at least 30 Iraqi's.
How long till "rave lights" claim their first victim?
They kill less people than a bullet to the chest. That's got to account for something.
The woman didn't die of the flash bang, she "had it comming" when not showing her hands at the officers request, giving her a bullet where she least expected it... all fainted away.
yeah, it's less lethal than a bullet, but torture is supposed to be non-lethal. most of the time, at least.
i hope they consider what this thing would do to epileptics. as something meant to be used indiscriminately, and possibly against crowds, it's far from harmless.
What happened to my cheap joke?
your cheap joke made my freakin day! lol
as odd as it sounds, i object to all non lethal high tech weapons, the intension is good (stop an armed criminal without killing him), but in the end this could be used more widespread, i.e. you could just build a very large version of this or the "pukelight" and instantly end protests. The Police can't justify shooting at a crowd with a gun, everyone would be outraged, but with these "softer" weapons, people don't care that much.
Another problem would be, that if you calibrate this right, you could achieve the effect slowly, thus breaking up a political speach, everybody would feel sick after 10 minutes and go home, without knowing that a political opponent used this weapon.
Just my thoughts.
be kind, english is not my native language :-)
You speak it very well, though! Especially when compared to some other readers on this blog.
You lie!! there's no way english isn't your first language! (that's a compliment)
I think this weapon is a great idea after reading your post. I thought one of the funniest scenes in a movie, as the puke scene in Mafia. Imagine that at a political debate!
"...thus breaking up a political speach, everybody would feel sick after 10 minutes and go home..."
I already feel sick after listening to politicians speak for 10 minutes. No weapon needed.
Sound like the 60's with the gas that cause you to run to the bathroom all over again....Anyone know what that gas is called?
WE ARE......PENN STATE!!!!!
Are we?
lol @ don't rave me bro. Good stuff.
The more important point of this is whether or not our government is developing this for military use overseas, or for so-called "homeland security."
why would that matter are non-americans not as important as you?
Always a bit worrisome if a government develops ways to quash dissent isn't it?
are they also working on brown note technology?
So what happens if someone's wearing sunglasses and hearing protection?
He is kindly asked to remove said eye and ear protection before the police brutality ensues.
Since the "sound" is not meant for your ears, but your whole body, you need a "supersonic sleeping bag"... The light.. well, that's another story.
What if you suffer from siezures? And will these be as non-lethal as tazers?
I'd say yes. Speaking as a Vancouverite, this would be just as "non-lethal" as tazers.
What I'm really interested in is what kind of people ("scientists") agree to work on stuff like this? Does nobody has any morals any more? Is the high tech job market in US that bad that you have to stoop working on tools of oppression that may end up being used on your kids (or yourself)?
I'm thinking if this is just lights and speakers could you make an entire building that has the hallways and rooms embedded with such a "defence system".
Basically your entire security personall would be an AI watching for movement and a security guard at a monitor ready to activate the system and imobilise anyone anywhere in the building.
I'm sure someone will scream TORTURE and/or demand this not be used once someone dies from it.
Yea, those crazy folks that think the amount of pain and suffering people should have to go through, before they've even been charged with a crime, let alone sentenced to community service, jail or probation yet, is not equal to torture or death. After all, what if it was you, and you were an innocent angel in the wrong place at the wrong time. Your family would be pissed.
The smaller and weaker edition will be called "Light Array Imbeciator".
Man let me know when this gets into the clubs - sounds amazing!!! ;-)
Laugh it up. Who will you hide behind when your government is against you? Free innocent citizens are being tortured for years, Constitutional rights are disappearing, the police are militarizing, consolidation of power has never moved so rapidly or been so great, our defenses are overstretched and morally shot, millions of children are orphaned, the market is about to consume the dollar and our economy, we still don't have any accountability for 9/11.
Quick! someone say something clever to get a chuckle. Don't take anything serious! We don't have any responsibility to prevent our descent into a very bad place. It's not like it hasn't happened before. It wasn't that long ago. Just keep laughing. Tell a joke so it doesn't make me think! Goebbels would be proud.

Talk to your doctor about it.
precisely.
And you're not sheep because you believe in conspiracies? Does that not make you more of a sheep because you're willing to get totally involved in something that has little to no evidence of? When something truthful comes out, you ignore it because it would get in the way of your theory? The true sheep are the ones who actually enjoy calling people sheep/sheeple. I'm only mentioning the term because you're the one who brought it up maaaaannnn...
I'm not a sheep because I read and research beyond what is served up for me by corporate beneficiaries who seek to condition the masses. I never said I have a theory, you did. I am merely stating facts about our time. None of what I said is theoretical. Everything I know is backed up by hard physical evidence, intellect, and historical precedent.
I don't understand what you mean, "willing to get involved in something"... Are you referring to living life and caring about the things that affect myself, my family, and my country? or are you implying that I'm getting involved in some sort of cult?
Right, because I must be so much different from you. Then it's much easier to ignore what I am actually saying.
My beliefs are guided by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Those crazy conspiracy documents they are. I don't have to convince myself that it's OK to ignore my morals because I stand up for them. Yep, koo-koo.
It's OK if you don't understand, my cause doesn't require you to. I fight for your freedom too. One day maybe you and many others will have the freedom to learn about all the important things you've been conditioned to disregard.
Peace, Libertas,
Justus
enjoy calling out the sheep? ... No. I would much rather not live in a world where this condition existed. I am trying to shake people from their slumber and disregard as history repeats itself. Read a book fellow Americans and citizens of "free" countries across the world.
It's happening right in front of us, all the things our founding fathers, and many throughout history have warned us of. Not some far away abstraction either, the exact things they said would happen when we get lazy about our freedom are happening.
For instance, most people have no idea that the Federal Reserve Bank is a private entity not government. What's worse is that this is something the founding fathers would have fought to prevent with force if necessary and most people don't understand why.
Do you?
*yawn* Yes, I know that the fed gov't has taken away too much power from the states. That's not news. And I am familiar with these 'books' that you speak of. As a matter of fact, I do recall in some sort of 'book' or another, that just because someone wrote something in a book, it does not give the statement more weight. But hey, thanks for fighting for my freedoms by posting on blogs. Good luck with that, and a heartfelt thanks. I just don't have it in me to sound like a half-crazy rambler, but if that's what it takes to help keep our freedom, I think you've got me covered, and again, I thank you for it.
uh-huh.. more seriousness in the form of condescensions. You have no idea who you talk to on the internet, but I love that people who are apathetic and advocate the bend-over-and-lube-up approach assume that everyone else on the internet doesn't actually stand up and do anything just because you assume we're too busy getting fucked too. ::sigh:: clueless, but they always spout "I know, I know". I'm talking about individuals, not states, and even if I was... "That's not news"?! Yea, sounds real brave, patriot.
Actually, I'm being condescending with a serious tone, not the other way around. In addition, your argument that I don't know who I'm talking to applies to you as well. Spoken like a real dolt. That's it. I'm going to a real country that protects my freedoms, like Canada, or the UK, or Cuba. Now that's where freedom really lives.
Seriousness and name-calling don't share sentences. I never claimed to know you. I responded to your suggestion that people who comment on blogs couldn't possibly have the fortitude to do anything else to stand up and speak out. You bore me. We could go back and forth about your voluntary compliance to try to make you feel better about it. You are free to run away from your country, or find some other way to hide from your fear. Weak minds will not save us.
Rocketboy, you will likely get the future you deserve. Writing things for thousands of other people to read and consider is called "civic engagement." I'm willing to bet you don't even vote. So be a good boy, go play with your Wii-Wii, and leave the nice bloggers alone.
I didn't see any real sign of doing anything on either part in that long conversation. I don't have the answers for how to stop a government that's quickly getting carried away. But hey, if you like civil disobedience you're all welcome to come over and smoke some grass. Oh and I don't pay parking tickets either.
In an unjust society a just man's place is a jail cell."
The truth is the only way to 'fight the power' is just to live your life as you see fit, making no changes or concessions because the government has said so. It's a democracy, and when it becomes abundantly clear that laws no longer agree with the majority there is no choice but to change the laws.
"Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also a prison." And so I ask dear freedom fighters, just how much time have you spent in jail?
Greetings.
I'm not sure if I understand. Are you from the 'keep-driving-don't-help' camp? Just making this clear. I have a job and a family. A group of fellow citizens and I sacrifice any spare moment to furthering the truth and awakening our fellow Americans to the conditioning and manipulation they've been subjected to.
I'm not saying anyone else has to, although we'd like some help. We're growing the movement every day. Things are just too bad to 'ride it out'.
We all have the occasional conflicts with those who wear the badge, but we have the law on our side. We are doing our civic duty. What you don't usually hear about on the news is activists don't get charged. They only make a big deal about the arrests... sometimes.
Most of the cases against free speech lose. Lots of us, including myself have been detained, harassed, and denied our rights personally, some have been flat-out robbed by the Federal Government at gunpoint with no explanation.
There's no time to second-guess the proper steps here. We exercise our rights and urge our fellow citizens to exercise theirs with us in unison.
We will raise enough of a ruckus that the major issues will need to be addressed properly, the people will demand it! We will put pressure on Congressional representatives to betray their corporate alliances or be prosecuted themselves!
Take the criminals current and former that have sat in the White House to jail for their crimes against humanity!
We're doing something. We're not taking it anymore. Courageous patriots are urged to action! Start your own groups, meetups, spread information. Those of you who can feel that it is right, you are not alone.
The movement hasn't shrunk yet, we're only growing. There is a LOT that can and is being done despite the political dystopia that is portrayed in the mainstream. If at the very least activists will serve as a canary in the cave to all the rest of the population.
If we disappear, you should be worried.
Peace, Libertas,
Justus
just,
Oh man, I wish I too could live in a world where I could believe that some aholes on the internet are really the only thing standing between freedom and tyranny. Yes, because if it were not for YOU, we would all be slummin' it down in the gulags.
Thanks Freedom Man! You give being full of sh1t a bad name.
To be honest, I sometimes wish "the government" was really as diabolical and omnipotent as you guys think, as the first thing they would do is shut you up. But then, it is quite obvious you have never actually lived in society where "the government" really does make people disappear. For if you think the liberal west is evil and diabolical, you might as well pop some cyanide, as the world does not actually get any better the farther you go.

Rocketman, surely "the government", "the powerful families", big corporations, and (of course) the Zionists have paid you to say all those things. ;)
