Laugh it up. Who will you hide behind when your government is against you? Free innocent citizens are being tortured for years, Constitutional rights are disappearing, the police are militarizing, consolidation of power has never moved so rapidly or been so great, our defenses are overstretched and morally shot, millions of children are orphaned, the market is about to consume the dollar and our economy, we still don't have any accountability for 9/11.
Quick! someone say something clever to get a chuckle. Don't take anything serious! We don't have any responsibility to prevent our descent into a very bad place. It's not like it hasn't happened before. It wasn't that long ago. Just keep laughing. Tell a joke so it doesn't make me think! Goebbels would be proud.
And you're not sheep because you believe in conspiracies? Does that not make you more of a sheep because you're willing to get totally involved in something that has little to no evidence of? When something truthful comes out, you ignore it because it would get in the way of your theory? The true sheep are the ones who actually enjoy calling people sheep/sheeple. I'm only mentioning the term because you're the one who brought it up maaaaannnn...
I'm not a sheep because I read and research beyond what is served up for me by corporate beneficiaries who seek to condition the masses. I never said I have a theory, you did. I am merely stating facts about our time. None of what I said is theoretical. Everything I know is backed up by hard physical evidence, intellect, and historical precedent.
I don't understand what you mean, "willing to get involved in something"... Are you referring to living life and caring about the things that affect myself, my family, and my country? or are you implying that I'm getting involved in some sort of cult?
Right, because I must be so much different from you. Then it's much easier to ignore what I am actually saying.
My beliefs are guided by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Those crazy conspiracy documents they are. I don't have to convince myself that it's OK to ignore my morals because I stand up for them. Yep, koo-koo.
It's OK if you don't understand, my cause doesn't require you to. I fight for your freedom too. One day maybe you and many others will have the freedom to learn about all the important things you've been conditioned to disregard.
enjoy calling out the sheep? ... No. I would much rather not live in a world where this condition existed. I am trying to shake people from their slumber and disregard as history repeats itself. Read a book fellow Americans and citizens of "free" countries across the world.
It's happening right in front of us, all the things our founding fathers, and many throughout history have warned us of. Not some far away abstraction either, the exact things they said would happen when we get lazy about our freedom are happening.
For instance, most people have no idea that the Federal Reserve Bank is a private entity not government. What's worse is that this is something the founding fathers would have fought to prevent with force if necessary and most people don't understand why.
*yawn* Yes, I know that the fed gov't has taken away too much power from the states. That's not news. And I am familiar with these 'books' that you speak of. As a matter of fact, I do recall in some sort of 'book' or another, that just because someone wrote something in a book, it does not give the statement more weight. But hey, thanks for fighting for my freedoms by posting on blogs. Good luck with that, and a heartfelt thanks. I just don't have it in me to sound like a half-crazy rambler, but if that's what it takes to help keep our freedom, I think you've got me covered, and again, I thank you for it.
uh-huh.. more seriousness in the form of condescensions. You have no idea who you talk to on the internet, but I love that people who are apathetic and advocate the bend-over-and-lube-up approach assume that everyone else on the internet doesn't actually stand up and do anything just because you assume we're too busy getting fucked too. ::sigh:: clueless, but they always spout "I know, I know". I'm talking about individuals, not states, and even if I was... "That's not news"?! Yea, sounds real brave, patriot.
Actually, I'm being condescending with a serious tone, not the other way around. In addition, your argument that I don't know who I'm talking to applies to you as well. Spoken like a real dolt. That's it. I'm going to a real country that protects my freedoms, like Canada, or the UK, or Cuba. Now that's where freedom really lives.
Seriousness and name-calling don't share sentences. I never claimed to know you. I responded to your suggestion that people who comment on blogs couldn't possibly have the fortitude to do anything else to stand up and speak out. You bore me. We could go back and forth about your voluntary compliance to try to make you feel better about it. You are free to run away from your country, or find some other way to hide from your fear. Weak minds will not save us.
Rocketboy, you will likely get the future you deserve. Writing things for thousands of other people to read and consider is called "civic engagement." I'm willing to bet you don't even vote. So be a good boy, go play with your Wii-Wii, and leave the nice bloggers alone.
I didn't see any real sign of doing anything on either part in that long conversation. I don't have the answers for how to stop a government that's quickly getting carried away. But hey, if you like civil disobedience you're all welcome to come over and smoke some grass. Oh and I don't pay parking tickets either. In an unjust society a just man's place is a jail cell." The truth is the only way to 'fight the power' is just to live your life as you see fit, making no changes or concessions because the government has said so. It's a democracy, and when it becomes abundantly clear that laws no longer agree with the majority there is no choice but to change the laws.
"Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also a prison." And so I ask dear freedom fighters, just how much time have you spent in jail?
I'm not sure if I understand. Are you from the 'keep-driving-don't-help' camp? Just making this clear. I have a job and a family. A group of fellow citizens and I sacrifice any spare moment to furthering the truth and awakening our fellow Americans to the conditioning and manipulation they've been subjected to.
I'm not saying anyone else has to, although we'd like some help. We're growing the movement every day. Things are just too bad to 'ride it out'.
We all have the occasional conflicts with those who wear the badge, but we have the law on our side. We are doing our civic duty. What you don't usually hear about on the news is activists don't get charged. They only make a big deal about the arrests... sometimes.
Most of the cases against free speech lose. Lots of us, including myself have been detained, harassed, and denied our rights personally, some have been flat-out robbed by the Federal Government at gunpoint with no explanation.
There's no time to second-guess the proper steps here. We exercise our rights and urge our fellow citizens to exercise theirs with us in unison.
We will raise enough of a ruckus that the major issues will need to be addressed properly, the people will demand it! We will put pressure on Congressional representatives to betray their corporate alliances or be prosecuted themselves!
Take the criminals current and former that have sat in the White House to jail for their crimes against humanity!
We're doing something. We're not taking it anymore. Courageous patriots are urged to action! Start your own groups, meetups, spread information. Those of you who can feel that it is right, you are not alone.
The movement hasn't shrunk yet, we're only growing. There is a LOT that can and is being done despite the political dystopia that is portrayed in the mainstream. If at the very least activists will serve as a canary in the cave to all the rest of the population.
just, Oh man, I wish I too could live in a world where I could believe that some aholes on the internet are really the only thing standing between freedom and tyranny. Yes, because if it were not for YOU, we would all be slummin' it down in the gulags.
Thanks Freedom Man! You give being full of sh1t a bad name.
To be honest, I sometimes wish "the government" was really as diabolical and omnipotent as you guys think, as the first thing they would do is shut you up. But then, it is quite obvious you have never actually lived in society where "the government" really does make people disappear. For if you think the liberal west is evil and diabolical, you might as well pop some cyanide, as the world does not actually get any better the farther you go. -- Rocketman, surely "the government", "the powerful families", big corporations, and (of course) the Zionists have paid you to say all those things. ;)
"Just" - If you want to play Tit for Tat, you're the one who started this 'serious' rant with "baa baa baa". I also love how it's the abrasive a-holes who seem like they always get harrased by 'the man' for no reason. By the way, not that I expect a coherent answer, but why by not agreeing with everything you say, I'm not a 'Patroit'? What is your defination of a 'Patroit'?
TEM- Shhh. You're going to ruin it for me. Man, do I have to start paying you off as well?
Petey-FYI, Yes, I do vote. And I also encourage others to make an Informed vote. So to stave off your next wild accusation, no, I'm not a member of a party (I don't believe that the the two party system does us any favors), so no, I don't vote down party lines.
And,heh.. posting on Engadget, 'Civil Discourse'? Heh.
The whole line-up consists of the $60 Amps in-ears and $100 Tracks on-ear headphones, which both also come in slightly souped-up and pricier HD variations at $100 and $130, respectively.
