Single White Android just wants to hang out

There was a lot of fun stuff at this year's ITP Winter Show, but Single White Android stole our hearts with his dejected expressions, glowing belly and brightly-lit excitability. Oh, and saran wrap, lots of saran wrap. The bot isn't terribly complicated, his belly glows red when he wants you to touch it, and when you do he lights up with joy. Hey, it's the little things, and while SWA might not be giving biped humanoids a run for research dollars anytime soon, he certainly managed to elicit some emotion from his audience.

Ok that is quite possibly the most disturbing thing I've seen in awhile. Saran Wrap, Christmas lights and a small LCD, a gorgeous android does not make! I wish I had never seen that thing.

this is the creepiest bot i have seen. he looks like he is on fire and the effect also makes me think that he has this blisters. Dead creepy in my opinion. I think i am about to have nightmares of the firey kind. Please why on gods earth did this thing get through?

originaly he doesnt wanted to hang out, he wanted to hang over, but they fix that problem well. code sinapsis problems, very common.

Speaking of Data's Grandpa, doesn't it vaguely resemble those aliens from the ST:TNG episode Time's Arrow that feed on the life energy of humans? (And if you don't understand, don't worry about it. You'd have to have seen it to understand... :) )
