The "Is our machines learning?" machine 2.0 test-taking bot
We never liked taking tests in a general sense, but there was always something fun about filling in the answers with that trusty No. 2 of ours. The "Is our machines learning?" bot, shown off at the 2007 NYU ITP Winter Show, takes over that delicious task but still leaves humans with the chore of answering the questions remotely over the internets. The bot's name is a not-so-subtle jab at President Bush's grammar skills, but if we told you more we might all be in danger of some educatin', and the world doesn't need any more of that!

That was really hard to read

This robot is, of course, pointless, since remote test-taking is done on thee new-fangled computer-things anyway . . . but I guess its pointless-ness is on par with many of the crazy contraptions we see on engadget.
go go gadget vision!
That's it!
Time to lean lojban ;)
Dang it, engadget! Post editing, please.

More like a jab at Engadget's blog-staff's grammar and accuracy!
I'm definitely imagining some sort of LOLbot "I can has learnings now plz" caption on this pic now...
"Excuse me, Mr.Robot, could you please keep the noise down? Some people are trying to take a test!"
Can we please stop trying to make robots "learn"? I've seen T2 and I'm a-scared.
Monkey out; bot in! Is it too late for the bot to run for Pres'dent?
is our bot can haz a cheezeburger now?
Haha, I totally thought this was a lolcatz reference as opposed to a GW jab too :)
Agreed to a point!

Lol!
So... Wait a minute here. This bot doesn't learn... In fact, what the hell is the point of this bot? Why would you want to take a test over the internet and have a robot fill in the answers on a card that is then read back into a computer? Am I missing something here?

I wish I could find a screenshot where the teacher has also replaced himself with a reel-to-reel.
Well, I for one welcome our new test-taking robot overlords.
So, if I get this right, students could take a test over a computer...? What professor would allow kids to take tests remotely? Tabbed Wikipedia anyone?
Maybe it is for people who can't fill in those bubbles the right way.
