iPod touch to iPod video UI hack attack
Got a 5 or 5.5G iPod video that you don't want to give up, but you do want to make look a little more like your pal's iPod touch? Well, good news for you comes by way of iPodHacking's new iPod touch to iPod video interface, which will help you stave off a painful, costly upgrade that much longer -- especially since hear it even makes your old iPod touchscreen capable. Psych.

Pretty much if you have a 80GB iPod Video it'll be a 5.5G.
If you have an 80 gig, it's a 5.5. If you've got a 60, it's 5.
Otherwise, you'll have to look that up somehow.
cool!
Basically a cheap Zune Interface mockup.
If I had one I would try it.
What a ripoff of the iPhone interface!
Someone tell me if it doesn't scroll like a tard. I just wish apple would make the scrolling like the 4G/iPod w Color Display.
I can't get it to work, i get errors.
Well, boring old 2006 for me then.
How about hack to replace the slow sluggish 6G iPod's UI ... I want my old iPod UI back !!!
wow, this looks excellent...
Well, I just update my iPod with it and it's great. This was built on firmware 1.2.1 so maybe now my Xbox 360 will recognize it. I'll test it out and get back to you about it.
sooooooooooooo awesome can someone give me the download
FFAF rulez u r teh l4m3r.
Just updated and works fine on 5.5g (80gb black), one issue i have is that in Music there is no "albums" listed in there. thats how i listen to the majority of my music. bit of an oversight. not sure why its gone or where?
hmmm i just watched the vid here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSMTst6x0vY), when he goes to his music the 1st one he see's is "albums" and the 1st i see is "Shuffle songs"
It looks good, but the lag may cause me to revert to the original firmware...
HELP I have a MAJOR problem, yesterday morning (December 20) I loaded on this new firmware, it installed right and everything. My ipod was low on power and after 3 hours died, well I just figured i would put it in my Bose Ipod dock overnight. Its now 6:13 in the morning (December 21) I just took it out of the dock and it still is dead (the dock is plugged in) this is really weird and i'm worried. The weird thing is that whenever i plug it into my PC and then remove it, windows prompts that I have removed a disk unsafely ( you know the error when you remove a flash drive without first doing unplug or eject hardware) Should I consider buying a replacement battery, I'm really worried.
I agree... it looks really nice and keep your older ipod looking new atleast form the interface part of it LOL, but for now I hold off the upgrade see how things go first I continue to use my ipod for music and movie downloads at http://www.ipodtunesdownloads.com
The binary installed fine on my 5.5G. It's a much nicer interface than the original. It does, however, lag a bit.
