Trio of new ATI Radeon HD cards get leaked, pictured
AMD removed any lingering secrecy when it gave the official word to expect new kit based on the R680, RV620 and RV635, but now we're seeing a trio of actual products (all PCIe 2.0) that are purported to be built around the aforementioned cores. According to MadBoxPC, the ATI Radeon HD 3450 will be based on the RV620, utilize 55-nanometer fabrication technology and will feature a 525MHz core clock, 400MHz memory clock (800MHz DDR), 256MB of DDR2 RAM and VGA / Display Port outputs. Moving on up, we've got the Radeon HD 3470, which is based on the same core but gets clocked a hair faster and ditches Display Port for DVI. Finishing things off is the RV635-based Radeon HD 3650, which will come in a 800MHz XT flavor and a 600MHz Pro iteration along with 256MB - 512MB of GDDR3 RAM. The trifecta is reportedly going to ship sometime next month, and they'll cost you just $50, $60 and $100, respectively.

“Hi, may we keep you up to date on news and possible product review opportunities for S3 Graphics?
If so, would you please give me the names and emails of the reviewer and editor most appropriate for our news and review samples?
Thanks,
Pat Meier
wow quality at a great price. there is now wondering why I like AMD.
here's hoping that these cards perform better than nvidia's latest midrange/lowend cards (8400, 8500)
Hmmm... by Pro and XT are you referring to 3650 and 3670??? This is important because i prefer the number system to the XT and Pro monikers... also those seem to be great prices... any word on AGP versions for those of us with some AGP PCs lying around?
Yep; AMD no longer uses suffixes to differentiate their cards. That DailyTech article was just poorly written without proper research... unfortunately copied verbatim to Engadget.
They'll be name HD3450, HD3470, and HD3650 respectively. Which is what MadBoxPC reported in the first place:

oops, sorry just wanted to clarify that the link doesn't say anything about XT or Pro models
Cool. At current exchange rate I'll be able to get the HD3650 for about £50 including shipping :)
Still even at 50£ seems disadvantaged for the performance it offers. Especially given that you can get a X1950Pro for 60 - 65£ or a 3850 for 90£ .
The "HD" being before of after the numbers depends on whether you view the page translated or not.
The XT / Pro is there regardless of which page you view:
"Core Clock: 800Mhz ("XT") - 600Mhz ("Pro")"
64bit memory bus interface for the first 2 models and 128bit for the latter. Thanks, but no thanks. The prices are fine, I guess, but these cards will be severely limited due to the small interface. May be of use in an HTPC though.
If only my 8800gt could talk ... i'm sure it would talk some smack
It would actually say "Wrong comparison, idiot".
Why is it that DisplayPort is available only on the cheapest card?
With DisplayPort being only available currently on high-end monitors, you would expect the high-end cards to have it first.
yeah, but will there be linux driver support?
I want to see ATI finally kick nvidias ass... I don't think it will but I want to see it happen.
I simply don't get why do ATI's cards come with these horrible and unstylish stickers of weird CG women (which could never be rendered with the respetive card in any game). Come on, copy Nvidia a bit on that.
to appeal to the 12-year-olds, of course!
new user here/probably showing off ignorance also but..that said-anyone help me regarding a HD smart card? Meaning....I have a Sony xbr/bravia....qam tuner, but I was told that if I put in a HD smart card that I'd get HD content from cable co. that I'm on-anybody help me on this??
(please!!!)
