Windows Mobile 6-based RoverPC P6 on sale in Russia
It's been a tick since we saw the oh-so-snazzy RoverPC G5, and we must say, the RoverPC P6 cranks up the sexy by a few orders of magnitude. The Windows Mobile 6-based handset, which is sure to make those not in Russian mighty envious, sports a 300MHz Samsung 2442B processor, a 2.4-inch 320 x 240 resolution touchscreen, 64MB of RAM, 128MB of Flash ROM, a microSD expansion slot, Bluetooth, miniUSB, a 2-megapixel camera and a built-in media player to boot. Additionally, the phone checks in at just 15.1-millimeters thick, rocks a dark gray motif and touts tri-band GSM connectivity. So go on, pick one up for around 7990 rubles ($323) -- just don't rub it in when you do, alright?

Rubles...looks like Putin has no plans on joining the EU anytime soon right ;P
definitely sexy. if she had a gps i'd marry her.
It looks pretty nice, but where are the left/right soft-keys??
My guess is that it is running MinMo 6 Professional (read: Pocket PC with Phone) which has a touch screen and does away with the soft keys of WinMo 6 Standard (Read: Smartphone only)
That looks sweet and could probably get it for this side of £200 here in blighty and that's with shipping.
In SOVIET UNION...phone dials you !
Fail. No, I don't want to see you after class either.
I can only imagine the preloaded spyware.
My guess: no more than HP ipaq in the USA
In Russia, RoverPC plays you!
Doesn't look bad at all, especially for that price.
My young cousin told me that in class he learned Russia was a K L E P T O C R A C Y
Almost as modern looking as the British Rover P6 car of the 1960's.
Chechnyan road apple (govno). Dosvedanya WinMo 6.
IN Russia
Phone calls you!
... Wait, that's already how it works...
Slick package, but my gosh do those specs ever suck.
"and a built-in media player to boot"
Um, yeah, that would be Windows Media Player, which happens to be included on every Windows Mobile device.
Oh, yeah, and according to mobilewhack, this thing has 192MB of flash memory, not 128.
Oh jesus.
Windows Mobile.
You KNOW this phone will sucks
$323? Wow, that's about the monthly income of the average Russian. There's a nice undergound (literally) mall right next to Red Square that will probably sell a ton of those things. After you get your new RoverPC G5, you can run upstairs to McDonald's and take pictures of all the Russians standing in line for the hardened artery happy meals.
Another old stereotype.
Present time:
No, russians doesn't standing in lines for Mcdonald's anymore - everyone know that this food is made from shit and dangerous for health. You can buy natural food and vegetables in every supermarket (this food is hard to find even in usa & europe). But the inflation of 12% every year that's burning all incomes is the main problem for the main population of Russia.
LOL, not standing in line there anymore? I've been there and done that and have the shirt (nice Fedorov Hockey jersey) to prove it. I'm not insulting the Russian people. People in America stand in line for the same exact food. Wait, I stood in line at that same McDonald's there off Red Square myself. It's called capitalism. It's the same reason there's a Sbarro's across the hall from McDonald's. It's the same reason TGI Friday's is just down the street. Again, I'm not insulting Mother Russia, or the population, who seemed to mostly be great people. I would write this in Russian, but unfortunately, I only speak(not as well as I would like) Russian, not read or write it. Cheers! :)
RoverPC laptops are of worst quality imaginable. Worse than crap mass-produced by Dell or Acer.
Same goes for their PocketPC devices I recon - cheap, shitty quality. Disposable smart-phones anyone?
The looks have changed a bit, but this device doesn't sound any better than the P5 of last year.
