Earth Trek's 2-in-1 mult-card reader has a USB twist
We've been bored by the entirely too utilitarian concept of multi-card readers ever since they were hosting our SmartMedia and xD cards, but Earth Trek seems to have revitalized the concept for 2008. The 2-in-1 rotary multi-card reader has a patented swiveling USB 2.0 connector to let you come at it from all angles -- not exactly going to revolutionize your memory card experience, but a nice touch. The reader also includes a plug and adaptors for charging your phone, which seems random but useful. No word on price or availability.

am i the only one who see 3 slots? how is it 2 in 1 it looks like it does sd mmc and microsd, 3in1 by my count
When they say 2-1, I think they mean Card Reader/Phone charger, rather than 2-types of card.
I thought they meant D.P.
;)
Yeah, it probably means dual purpose...I bet they'll come up with 20+ formats to credit to those three slots though...let's try now:
SD, MiniSD, MicroSd, TransFlash(Yes same thing, but another +1 for them), SDHC, MiniSDHC, MicroSDHC MMC, MMC Mini, MMC Micro, xD, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro Duo, Memory Stick Pro Micro, Compact Flash, Compact Flash Type II, Microdrive....what did I miss?
No SDHC???
how about "mult-card reader"? Not to be an ass, i just like it when things are spelled right.
They must be hung-over not to notice "mult-card reader".
the usb phone charger most likely works for digital cameras as well. I'd buy it.
Does not appear this ting does CF... looks bigger than it is.... Why the hell do they make this car readers without CF support? Hello, lots of use DSLR users out here!
nice...especially since my computer doesn't have that built in like some new computers have.
