well as its looking the prices for video cards will fall as long as it has DisplayPort and not an HDMI or DVI port. Has anyone see any DisplayPort to HDMI cable, if you can find one let me know as I am sold. are there plans for TV's to come with DisplayPorts(UDI) and if so whould they be cheeper if there had DisplayPort instead of HDMI?
Video signal of DisplayPort is not compatible with DVI/HDMI. Still, the DisplayPort will allow the pass-through of DVI-HDMI signal, which will benefit you only if the monitor accepts has a combined DisplayPort plug that accepts DVI-HDMI too, which I think is highly unlikely.
