This has nothing to do with surface. It's different implementation of similar technology. If anything, Microsoft's method is bulky and "rigged" and these are slim and sexy.
Maybe, but can they support WiFi detection and pull photos out of cameras and music off of Zunes?
I'm not saying Surface is better, but how about waiting until they come out in REAL retail establishments before making a decision if they're really these bulky tables or the next big thing.
I'd be impressed if Microsoft allowed them to pull photos off ANY camera and ANY PDA, but I don't see that happening. Besides, why couldn't these be setup with a PC with Wifi to do just that? This is just a screen.
@Andir ... you're right this is just a screen, while the Microsoft Surface is a COMPUTER that has infrared cameras inside that do ALOT more with multi touch then these LG screens are capable of, I.E. interacting with WIRELESS devices, there will be no multi touch computer ever that can wireless interact with NON WIRELESS DEVICES, so dont try to play the "MS wont let every device play on their system" trick because no business can.
Eventually everyone will have a wireless device of some sort and it will be compatible with the surface. I also doubt that these 52 and 84 inch screens will cost less then the surface or will even be commercially available .. remember the 100 inch LCD's from last years CES? I dont see that in any stores sadly.
