Touchmods SIP VoIP client for iPod touch is out tonight
Got an iPod touch? And some audio input hardware? Want to make some VoIP calls? If you answered yes to all of the above, you'll want to check out the Touchmods site later tonight, when they'll supposedly be releasing their full-on SIP client for the touch. Hopefully by now it's a little more prettied up than the last time we saw the thing above. If those last videos are anything to go by, though, it looks like it will be.

So how many to 12,000?
Ishimaru @ Dec 31st 2007 9:54PM
Why only the Touch? What about the iPhone wouldn't work? As there's already a microphone in there...don't get it.
RadicalxEdward @ Dec 31st 2007 10:24PM
It's not the same mic hardware though, the app is specific to the hardware, they're working on an iphone version
Bassir @ Dec 31st 2007 10:06PM
I wonder if they can get Skype to work on the iPhone.
Karl Viklund @ Jan 1st 2008 5:34AM
No. But Skype can. If they want. We will see. It will be cool.

Is this in installer? I can't find it anywhere. Can someone please give me a link to where I could buy one of those mike adapters.
Karl Viklund @ Jan 1st 2008 5:33AM
This is so stupid.
All these developer groups working day and night, trying to bring apps for to the iPhone and touch only to be broken or whipped away with every update. Why try so hard when there is an SDK coming. Yes, and S D K will be released and there will be so much easier to develop apps for the device.
Will be nice to see all apps developed when the SDK is out. Looking forward to that.

Because you know Apple is going to have some approval program and some other bullshit to make sure "an application doesn't bring down the AT&T network."
They'll probably sell it too.
I'm finally starting to see why these hackers do what they do.

and im so sure that Apple is gonna want to have developers make the iPod Touch a more cost effective phone with more storage space than the iPhone. Apple specifically made sure that there was clear differences between the Touch and iPhone and Apple will block developer's applications that will blur the distinct specific lines that Apple created to separate the two products.

Go to touchmods.net for all the info and how to get it and use it, plus all calls in the US and most parts of Europe is free. Common now, thats a good deal. The only thing is, its wifi only. But all the same, great work
