The amount of apps in the Windows Phone Marketplace

Why does almost every cell phone in the world have GPS capability, and not every laptop? Just seems strange to me.
Most phones actually don't have gps navigation ability. That's a common misconception.
I do agree laptops would be more useful with gps, but really most people wouldn't pay more money for the feature, so it's left out. I would like to see it made available in more laptops though, as especially with ultraportables it would make sense.
