Look, we've seen a lot of docks in our day, and we can't really say the Philips is a particularly special, though it does sport a number of features that may make you want to take a closer look. We got a chance to get all-up-on the black beauty after the company's CES press conference, and we will admit that the Bluetooth integration, SD card support, and 2x MP3 record features seem pretty swell. Take a look at the gallery and inform your future purchasing decisions.
the way the buttons are and everything reminds me more of a mid-90's fax machine then of an ipod dock.

great stuff i need me one of those
Do all/most iPod docks work with Zunes?
I might buy one, but I'm not sure if they have the ability to work with Zunes as well. Any Zune users know about this?
most sound systems have auxillary input into which you can plug anything, but ipod slots won't work for anything but ipod, of course.
As an aside, there seems to be a trend now for low-end boom boxes accepting usb sticks and sd cards, but leaving out the aux-in function. Drives me nuts.
I'm not sure if you're serious or not, but no, the iPod and Zune have different connectors, so their accessories are incompatible.
This is already in Best buy and it sounds like crap .. also there are other branded versions of this at Fry's .. which also sound like crap .. i wouldn't get too excited.

I actually own one of these and am pretty happy with it. I haven't used the Bluetooth feature yet, but I LOVE the fact that it allows me to a) play CDs, b) play music from my IPOD and c) (would) allow me to use this as bluetooth speaker if I am listening to streaming audio (live365,Pandora,...) from my laptop. For people who don't hav a full hifi rack, this is a nice one piece solution.
