New Creative Zen V Video uncovered on support site?

Apparently, some Creative fans have begun to speculate that a new iteration of the company's Zen V might be making an appearance, due to a listing on its site for a product called the "ZEN V Video." The link won't take you anywhere substantial (in fact, all you get is an error when you try to download anything related to the entry), but it does suggest that the company has plans to introduce a more video-centric version of its popular player. Since we've seen some dubious (i.e., fake) Creative video players lately, we're not going to get too excited just yet -- but feel free to draw your own, wildly imaginative conclusions.

the 4GB Zen V was on special here in Canada @ FutureShop(sister chain of BestBuy) after loading the software it came up as "Creative ZEN V (Video)".. a nice lil surprise for 75$ canadian! most video types convert fine.

FYI the player is black w/ blue accents & in the syst info on the player it states "version 1.31.02"

I have got the what I thought was the Zen V Plus but in the players info it says Creative Zen V (video) and it has no fm tuner!

Is it just me or is creative really bad at keeping new products secret? It seems like every month there's a new product and we see some glimpse of it on their site because they made a mistake.

Went to the site and was able to download a firmware update,............lets see if creative comes through soon or if it's a screw-up on their part. After the sdhc card fiasco they better do the right thing. that the reason i didn't get the zen.

Creative has one of the most messiest and confusing support menus.

At one point, they had ZEN Vision:M, ZEN Vision:M 30GB, and ZEN Vision:M 60GB.

At one point, on the Asia site, only the ZEN Vision W, ZEN Vision, and the Zen Portable Media Center (!) was on the "Portable Media Players" list. On the US site, the ZEN, ZEN Vision:M, and the ZEN V Plus were included.

I belive the diff between the ZEN V Plus & ZEN V Video is that the ZEN V Video does not have a FM tuner. But I get ur point, They should keep it simple!!

hi, I recently bought the Creative Zen V 2Gb. Now in the shops (living in Belgium) you'll find everywhere exactly the same packaging with the same Zen V 2Gb, only.... they've put a sticker on it!! : Video Clips included. Does this mean that I can download the firmware for the Zen V Video and load it onto my Zen V so I would be able to watch small video clips on it? Anyone who tried?
