Sony Ericsson CES 2008 lineup leaked?

While we've yet to see anything legit come out of team Sony Ericsson at CES, we're seeing some nice pics surfacing of what are likely the real deal. Apparently Sony Ericsson are set to launch the W760i, Z555i, and the W350i -- which in our eyes is a pretty sweet flip -- which is pictured above. No specs have appeared yet, but we figure you'll settle for the lovely pics until Sony Ericsson opens the floodgates. Hit the read link for more shots.

those are badly ugly
Jakob @ Jan 6th 2008 3:36PM
They are different, but not ugly (my personal opinion of course). But hope it's not plastic.

Oh god... not more sliders! I have a W580i and I hate the thing with a passion. Compared to my old 810 the camera and keyboard suck, the keylock doesn't work so anytime it's in my pocket it somehow managaes to dial the last person I spoke with, and the battery life is a joke. The only good thing about it is it's beautiful screen and it's music software, everything else is just embarassingly bad. I should have held out for the K850 like I told myself I would. More sliders are not an encouraging sign for SE in 08.

Agreed.
I really hate flip phones.
Like /really/ hate.
Childhood incident. It involves a flip phone, a small cow, and a 1/2 pint of ice cream.
--------------
Although this is a flip, I guess it's passable. At least they found a use for the external flip but putting music controls on it.
Could've been designed to look better. Maybe an external touch screen, they're all the rage. But, then again, it's SE and they don't really get caught up with trends like, what do you call that...AMERICAN 3G *tangentially related bitterness*.

@ Cash

God i miss the 90s!
Game_playa @ Jan 6th 2008 3:35PM
Sorry must have not been first

I LOVE Flip Phones!
Mr Corsini @ Jan 6th 2008 3:41PM
wow these phones look really s**t, when are sony ericsson gonna wake the f**k up? and put a decent size sceen on their phones? no one gives a s**t about boring candybar and flip designs. All other companies are gearing towards media based cell phones with large size screens.
Carbonize @ Jan 6th 2008 3:46PM
These look like they just have a thin flip down front like the old Ericssons did.
ScooterDe @ Jan 6th 2008 4:15PM
'leaked'? Or quietly slipped to the early adopter journalists? I suspect many companies are 'leaking' high-res shots and other (partial) info. to whet appetites, but I would hope Engadget does not blindly play along.
Rk @ Jan 6th 2008 4:23PM
What the flip?
Matt O @ Jan 6th 2008 4:32PM
i think they look sick i just could never part with my blackberry curve otherwise i would definitely buy one of these
jamma @ Jan 6th 2008 4:35PM
I call photoshop. all the new Sony Ericssons have call and end buttons, and no back key, they wouldn't go back to the old keypad layout any time soon
joshman @ Jan 6th 2008 4:51PM
SE may not include a built in 3.5mm jack but all their walkman phones do include a 3.5mm adapter so you can use the included headphones or your own.
Velorium @ Jan 6th 2008 4:59PM
Woo! If that's an accurate mock-up then Sony's going downhill even more. Just keep on spinning down the toilet baby!
helloUser @ Jan 6th 2008 5:03PM
Is everyone commenting on these an iphone fanboy? These actually look really nice.
Fernando @ Jan 6th 2008 5:04PM
Nobody's going to note that the Z555 copied the patterned design from the Nokia Prism series? Oh no, you guys only complain when someone "copies" the iphone design, ffs.
Tone @ Jan 6th 2008 5:14PM
What's the point? all the phones sony ericsson make never get released in the US.
deadpool @ Jan 6th 2008 5:27PM
what? no k-series?
Husar @ Jan 6th 2008 6:24PM
I like most of the designs Sony Ericsson makes, but i always find they are let down by the small screens...
john @ Jan 6th 2008 6:31PM
old news, seen these already from the se rep.
Wanda315 @ Jan 9th 2008 12:42AM
Who carries new SonyEricsson phones in USA?
I love my w810i, except for the small screen, and no headphone jack. It's insane to be unable to charge the unit while speaking on wired handsfree or listening to music.
I intended to use my AT&T w810i for voice, and my AT&T 8525 for tethered USB modem, but the 8525 can't hold a connection at my desk-in-cube-in-dungeon, so I have to use the w810i as modem. The w810i never drops the connection, and has great throughput - even with the Sony Mobile Network Wiz software managing the connection.
The rep at the AT&T store sold me the W810i by saying that she preferred SonyEricssons for their strong reception, and she was right.
I also greatly prefer the bar format, because it's easier to screen calls / surf / play music with gloves on a rolling motorcycle.
