So you've got the announcement of Logitech's latest Harmony remote, the Harmony One. You've checked out our hands-on pics and you've even read the first review. So why not spend a minute with Mahalo Daily's Veronica Belmont and take a video look at the redesigned channel changer, safely tucked away after the break.
If you can for your viewers, please take a side-by-side screenshot of this remote compared to the Harmony 880.
From just the pictures of the Harmony One, it's not quite so obvious how large and well-spaced the buttons are in comparison to the old Harmony remotes. Most of the major buttons are 2-3x the size of the buttons on the Harmony 720, for example.
wait, Veronica...there's a remote in there somewheres? seriously though if i may make a suggestion please: less engadget crapola and more...video reviews by you. cheers and have fun at CES!!!
Like the categorization of buttons. Hope there is a way to lock out the touch screen buttons. I advert ant touching of the screen could be really annoying. Also really like the girl in the grey shirt at the end of the video. You wouldn't have her num......
Does the Harmony One work with any of Harmony's RF Extenders? The 880 won't but the 890 and 1000 will. Since it has a lithium battery, that means it also won't work the the NextGeneration "flying saucer" RF Extender. If Logitech doesn't come out with a way to convert IR to RF with these new remotes, they won't attract as large a market as they could.
“That iconic Klipsch sound is here in full force, with crisp highs, delicate mids (which can easily have a bit more meat added with an EQ tweak) and tight, booming bass.”

"Inadvertent touching of the screen" changing of the functions is what I meant.
Does it control bluetooth devices? I want an universal remote control that controls the PS3 blu ray player!!
I heard it's not PS3 compatible
See http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=761809 for instructions on how to get a Harmony remote to work with a PS3. It wont power your PS3 on or off, but it works fairly well.
my 880 is still nicer looking.
Just another reminder that Logitech has not done anything of substance with the Harmony line since acquiring the company.
(From a happy 880 and 659 user).
