Windows Mobile is a POS and a PITA on a mobile phone, the interface is horrible to use and I would and will dump it in a heartbeat as soon as something good comes along that I can sync properly with exchange wirelessly (Android?)
Microsoft: FIX WM7 interface or stop trying! and for the love of god please put more ram into these devices so they don’t constantly run out of memory… for real how much $$ does it cost to ad 1GB ram???
They sell because there is no alternative to fully sync an exchange mailbox with a mobile device. you can use IMAP but you only get mail. Can you tell me honestly that you enjoy using windows mobile???? WTF

Each year they sell twice as many as the previous year, and they need to stop why?

Exchange Activesync is in fact widely licensed, and PalmOS (Treos) and Symbian (mostly Nokia phones) both have Exchange Activesync implementations.
And yes, I enjoy my HTC Kaiser very much, thank you.
wow, Ok well you will be one of the few to stay when a good alternative appears.
