Buffalo's external Blu-ray burning / HD DVD reading combo drive -- sequel to the
BHC-6316U2 -- is coming to the U.S., now branded the Buffalo MediaStation Blu-ray HD DVD (BRHC-6316U2). Based on Hitachi's 6x burning / 4x reading
GGW-H20N, its hitting American USB ports in the first quarter of this year with an MSRP of $649. Unlike the previous version's Cyberlink PowerDVD bundle, this throws in Nero software for all your HDM needs. Check after the break for another angleof its sleek, entirely unremarkable external drive casing, you know you want to.

I love the BD burning but only reading HD-DVDs combos....shows who should be #1 and who should die already.

So you have personally had problems with combos, or are you just going by somthing you read on the internet? If you do have a problem, search avsforum.com for a guy named AmirM. He asked for anybody who had problems to contact him so that he can get all the disks they can to find problems. He got a total of 17 disks, all had defects like scratches - nothing related to them being combos.
But looking over your post history I would bet you are just trolling, using yet another fictious excuse to make Blu sound better.

Blu Ray burners and media are widely available. HD DVD burners are practically non existent. It's no wonder Buffalo chose Blu Ray for burning since the alternative is nothing at all. Price of burners is far too expensive though. Can't wait until they drop under $200 since my backups are larger than a single DVD and its a pain span multiple discs to say the least.

See DrXym's comment as he got what I meant.
No HD-DVD burners around, only players.

USB? Is it only USB? WTF! What about external SATA. I don't want to be waiting a whole DAY for this damn thing to burn one disk.

:\
I can has Firewire? No? :'(
Honestly, i guess eSATA hasn't caught on enough, but at it's pricetag i'm sure those who want it wouldn't mind paying $650 or even $675 for eSATA and USB
:\
Thems the breaks i guess.
