I wish they would make hard drive camcorders that had the option to record regular DV into standard AVI files. None of this MPEG4 or AVCHD crap.
I still record standard definition MiniDV, and make regular DVDs. But I don't wanna buy a Firestore or some other expensive add-on hard drive, especially when these new camcorders have 40 or 60 gig hard drives in them. I'm still old school!
seriously, i would rather dump it into an mp4 file. All of my family rocks itunes and they could throw babies first steps right into their itunes and iphones and ipods and watch it ad nauseam.
