Check out this sweet, sweet Guitar Hero mod by one Aaron Skillman, who whipped up a portable turntable controller in his garage one weekend. Instead of using the strum bar, you hit notes by scratching forward or backward. Since this baby is portable you can tote your alt instrument over to a friend's place and turn co-op Guitar Hero into Rock Band lite. Video after the break.
When they make a _____ Hero game that teaches me to play an instrument for REAL, like Piano or Violin, then I'll buy it. For now, I'll just stick to Call of Duty 4.
Keyboardmania came out years ago. It proved to be not very popular compared to the ones that weren't exactly like playing the instrument. Still good though.
So this guy just reinvented a game.... Konami's Beatmania series. I used to play it all the time in arcades back in Japan. Konami's whole Bemani series really sparked the whole concept of musical games. Hope he doesn't sell that. Awesome, but borderline copyright infringement.

Good song.
Play the solo to Bulls on Parade. It sounds like that anyway.
Why is this in CES coverage?
Scratch Hero would be sweet!
Agreed, but no plastic controller can replicate the disappointment in trying to scratch with worn out vinyls.
